See John 3:16 - 3:19 lol Quoting: Juliett 484Who said you would not be forgiven? um... that doesn't answer the question... in fact, i can't see if that even addresses the issue... god's love can't be unconditional if he requires you to do things to get to heaven... the mere act of requiring belief is a condition... hence... god cannot love you unconditionally... Just because you can't enter due to lower vibration does not mean he does not love you. You forget that we made the choice to separate from him. Not the other way around. It is up to us to find our way home. We were the ones who were arrogant and thought we should rule. He does not hold us back, we do. WHO told you this and WHY do you believe them? No-one told me. I've spent years reading all the world's religious and spiritual texts. The answers are all there and contrary to what people think, they actually complement each other. It's like each tradition is one piece of the whole that is the truth. Most people give up when the bible doesn't make any sense to them. 1. The Fallen Angels 2. The Book of Genesis (Adam & Eve) Since you mention the bible I'm trying to help you understand through that particular work. Now some of us did not make that choice (to be separate), some of us were sort of thrown into it because of the damage that the fallen angels did to the programming of this world. This world was labeled as God's world and the fallen angels took it as their own. They reside in part, in our ego. When we listen to our egos and not our hearts, we are living in the illusion of separation. For all is one. And therefore God is in all and part of all and yet also exists as omnipresent and omnipotent. |

See John 3:16 - 3:19 lol Quoting: FREAK_OUT_NOW!!!First, let me go on record as saying I'm a total atheist. But I came to be an atheist because of a totally unrelated set of proofs, not this one. That being said. It is possible to love someone and hurt them. In fact, we often do such a thing and call it tough love. Which is more loving? Turning someone you love into the police so he gets treatment for his crack addiction, or giving him money so he can go get more crack when he needs a fix? Any parent will tell you that just because your spawn is throwing a fit is no reason to give him candy. As for why there are conditions for entrance into his kingdom. Having read the responces to this post, I find people are getting the old and new testament mixed up. You really can't compare the two. Old god was a serious asshole. Having jesus really mellowed him out. If we're going with new god, which most christians do, then realize that you can hack, pilliage, maim, rape, kill, sodomize, and cheat on your taxes, as long as before you die, you honestly and truely feel repentant and ask for forgiveness. Now, I know you are saying, THAT'S A CONDITION! The condition is, you honestly have to want to be in heaven. If you don't, then you won't. So really, his only condition is that choose to be in his kingdom, and he respects your choice not to be. I know, I know, who would choose to be in hell. Who chooses to be in an abusive relationship? Who chooses to smoke? Who chooses to drive drunk? Humanity makes it's own hell and it's all because of this obsession with drama. We get caught up in crap that really doesn't matter making things far more complicated then it needs to be. Then again, if we dropped all the BS, life would be boring as all hell. At least if you believe in any of this God crap. If you see something, say nothing, and drink to forget. Welcome to Night Vale. |

Quoting: panthera~oncaThe question presupposes God claimed His love to be unconditional to begin with. Can you provide a statement or quote straight from God? I think not. No-one can. And if you believe the bible, and the bible only, you are in for a world of hurt. Do some research into how the bible came together, how certain gospel's were chosen over others, and why that was so. You'll come to find that a lot of it was done for political posturing. Also research into what the Catholic Church has omitted by means of reincarnation. There were several original passages in the bible that discussed reincarnation. The Church did not pull them out until many years later. And why do you think that was? Because they needed people to believe that the only way to salvation was through them. Buy yourself one of those bibles that highlights Jesus's words in red. That's the closest you'll get to the truth in that book anyway (without the insight for deeper meaning). Do you really think that God would give away all his secrets, especially to those who would use this power for ill? Spread your wings, and so some research. Don't be a sheep. |
