Reality shows that have nothing to do with reality. Viewers who tune in every night to see what happens next. A public that cares not for the freedoms they are losing so long as the signal is in HD.

And if someone is going to voice an opinion about a country based on what hey see on TV and what their government says... well... I feel for you. You are unable to explore, understand or even think for yourself.

Like I always tell people like this. The only way you will ever understand another society of people is to experience it yourself. And just because one or a small fraction of the people give you a bad experience does not mean they are all like that.

On the other hand... Americans do in fact take what they have for granted. More than many other countries.

um ever watched much Japanese, Mexican, Russian or German TV? people are dumb all over.

To form an opinion, based on T.V. shows is veeeeeery misleading.

If you really want to know if americans are "that dumb" or if French are that "arrogant" or if...etc., you have to travel to their country and spend time with local people, and then you will have 'an idea' of what people of that country are really like. I say 'an idea', because you will have one piece of the puzzle. Each state, each city, each town, has its own "personality".
