Yeah they were.

See how they can fool people.....like you!
"Most people prefer to believe their leaders are just and fair even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because most people don't want to admit they don't have the courage to do anything about it.

Most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all." - Michael Rivero

Yeah they were.

Oh come on....you know that's not true.
And I'm sure you also know that both of them took on tough-sounding aliases: Stalin (Man of Steel), Lenin (Man of Iron).

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 684056

Because of their mischieves they blend themselves among the natives and chansge their names so that no one suspects the jews when people discover what they are doing.

This is what's happening in the us for example ben bernanke paul volker and all the fed people are jews like the majority of congress and senate if the american people knew this they would start to blame the jews for wrecking their country (rightfully) but since they don't recognize them ass jews they can just blame themselves for the jewish crimes.

And this doesn't happen only in the us europe is one big jewish lobby all the people at key positions carry fake names.

Lenin, whose maternal grandfather, Israel Blank, was Judaic, said that Judaics made the best revolutionaries. Lenin was married to a Jewess named Nadezhda Krupskaya.
"The clever Russian is almost always a Jew or has Jewish blood in him." (Dmitri Volkogonov, Lenin: A New Biography, p. 112)

Stalin was not Jewish himself, but all of his three wives were Jewish The first was Ekaterina Svanidze who bore him one son, Jacob. His second wife was Kadya Allevijah. She bore him a son Vassili and a daughter Svetlana. His third wife was Rosa Kaganovich, the sister of Lazar Kaganovich, the head of Soviet industry.

You forgot to mention that Stalin would have, in all likelihood, launched a 'Terror' on Jewish people within his own party and nation had he lived beyond 1953.

And, aside from the dubious family ties you mentioned, perhaps the sole reason Lenin had few anti-semitic traits was because such idiocy was frowned upon by his Marxist forefathers.

Re: Why did communist leaders use aliases?
To be harder to find and to keep their families from being harassed/taken hostage.

And why do we continue to use them instead of their real names?
 Quoting: 89446

Because they are easier to remember?
And these names are unique.
They themselves kept using them after the revolution because those were the names the public knew them by.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 365611

Incorrect.
Volgin and Lenin named themselves after Russian rivers. (Volga and Lena.)
Most used common surnames.
Stalin was less modest. He had a city named after himself when he was still alive.

Re: Why did communist leaders use aliases?
Probably because their shit wouldn't sell. They assumed that everyone was stupid and they could shape society they way they wanted. The populist message of communism only goes so far, as it ignores human nature and the natural law.

Their families were known. They were well known too and had extensive files compiled by the intelligence services (at least in the European cases).

While they might be easy to remember, they are historically false because they weren't their real names. Historians should use their real names followed by their aliases, not the other way around or not only their aliases.

And the Jews explanation works only in Europe, in some cases. What about Pol Pot and Ho?

Could this be some kind of ritual to channel some kind of energy by using certain made-up names?
