How lazy is Congress - Hiring a Professional Reader?

Seems the Democrats in Congress have hired themselves a progessional reader to read through the 900-something page energy bill. How lazy is that?

They don't want to say no one actually read the bill when they pass it.

Just what do they think they are getting paid for? The professional reader doesn't get a vote.

We need the actual Congress members to read and debate everything that is in another enormous bill that no one understands.

Maybe if they actually had to read the stuff they vote on they would write bills in plain, simple English that are not so big with all sorts of add-ons hidden inside.
