tattoo toddler
FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - A Floyd County father was in trouble Monday for tattooing his 3-year-old son. Eugene Ashley now faces charges of child cruelty and tattooing someone under the age of 18.

Amy Ashley said she discovered that her husband had "DB", which stands for Daddy's Boy tattooed on the couple's son before the Easter holiday.

DFACS got involved and reported the case to police. Eugene Ashley was arrested and charged with child cruelty and tattooing someone under the age of 18.

Eugene Ashley is no longer allowed to see his son.

In Texas a Parent can consent to a minor to get a tattoo or peircing ..hell even a beer...as long as the parent is there.....how can they charge this man or keep him from his child??.....Obviously the father loves him ..and .....for arguments sake .....lets say the child lost ....that would be one good distinguishing mark.....and maybe ....with all the kiddnappings and abductions, this is what the father was thinking.......

I'm certainly NOT condoning this ....but let's not be bias...

something tells me that in texas a parent can't force his child to get a tattoo or piercing, or to drink a beer. don't confuse this incident with consent.

They're total rednecks.

But the mom seems bright enough to know you're not supposed to do that shit.

Hurts to get tattooed.

I don't think that would occur to a three year old even if he was asked.

I say yeah, it's a form of child abuse... because I believe there are underlying reasons why the man did this.

Not gonna expand on that... but I will say it's definitely psychological... (which became physical)... that's never a good thing.

Only acceptable if the children are twins.

Anything else is just marking them for negative reasons.

I was surprised to read your reaction as redneck. Those yankees do this more. Tattooing's more of a northern thing.

Yeah, if he wasn't drunk there wouldn't be a case really as far as I'm concerned. And better yet if he had it done professionally.
When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.

Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"

Misdemeanor at best. No charges that will interfere with him seeing his son.

And the mother should NOT have it removed. Most kids will think it's cool that he has a real tattoo.

The majority of you are as stupid as the guy who did this to a BABY!!!!! I think that's where a lot of you are getting confused. This kid is THREE years old. I have a nephew that age, and he's not much more than a baby. I can not imagine wanting to inflict that kind of pain on a baby. He is way to young to understand the concept and he shouldn't be subjected to pain like that. Not only that but this guy held his son down and did it, can you even IMAGINE the psychological truama this has done to a BABY! NOT a teenager or an adult, but a defenseless BABY who can NOT defend hiself against his father! Parents are supposed to protect their children not cause harm! wtf

Yeah. I would have given the little guy something sweet, like a smurf smoking a bowl. He'd be the coolest kid in school all his life.
