Later that day, the Barclay-Vesey’s eastside was crushed by the collapse of the neighboring 47-story Seven World Trade Center. According to press reports, as much as 42,000 gallons of diesel fuel were stored in the Trade Center structure, creating a fire so intense it raged for seven hours before the building’s collapse.
