My comprehension of the Hebrew story is confined to the Hebrew story.

You can believe whatever you want but if you want to actuualy learn what the oldest culture has to say on the subject, the Sumarian culture is it.

The Sumarians are predated by Noah and his sons. This means that Noah's story (passed on to Moses who wrote it down) predates all others concerning the flood. Simple logic.

First off, the recorded father of Noah was Lamech. So you are incorrect. Enqi was known in the bible as one of the "Eyes of the Lord," or Aniaueh. Enqi is actually mentioned in certain parts of the bible [ref., deut 11.12].

How 'bout the idea that the Sumerians were actually the bred of the fallen angels? There is a line in Genesis that says "the sons of the gods saw the daughters of men and took them as wives. They begat the men of great renown!" I'm leaning to this thought what do you think?
