OK, so I guess I'm missing the point. Regardless of founding statements, whether taken out of context or subsequently altered by anyone with access to wikipedia, this country, as all others, is nothing like it was 200+ years ago. 1,000 years ago the entire world was ruled by monarchies. 30 years ago Iran was a secular country. Are you suggesting that we become the christian equivelent of Iran? Or perhaps are you just stomping your feet to the beat of (W)e (A)re (R)ight?
