There were several Nubian dynasties in Egypt, true. There were also several Egyptian dynasties.

And IIRC Greeks then Romans ruled Egypt towards the end of the 'classical' era.

People seem to think that in ancient times balances of power and society never shifted or changed, and that ancient societies never mixed unless through warfare.

For instance ancient Britain traded with the Romans and other Mediterranean powers long before the Romans invaded.

And of course Alexander the Great created an empire encompassing many different cultures and races.
