My suggestion would be Senior Services. So many older people need assistance in going shopping (because they cannot drive anymore) light housework, minor repair, yard work.

I watched my mother and her friends deal with this and wished so many times there was somebody reliable to help her. I lived far enough away I could only come once a week, and I was rushing to do things when really what we both wanted was to just enjoy the company. My case was not at all unusual.

check this out folks - most of yaz know that i adopt from fostercare - 18 kids to date ive cared for

now i met this woman in the grocery, she had two, well...theres no other way to put this, 2 retarded guys with her.

we got chatting over freezers - and she mentioned that she does ADULT FOSTER CARE. she cares for 3 mentally challenged men in her home.

and she doesnt have to go thru all the training that i do monthly -

if thats something you guys could possibly go for - check with your local welfare office

this keeps adults out of managed care facilities and she said the pay is anywhere between 700-1500 a month per adult.

To contribute 3D modeling/ripping (and rigging if you can learn to). On some forums people will pay you to rip models of characters, scenery, whatever from one game so they can put it into another.

For rigging usually get 20-40 a model and takes an hr or less to do once you get fast at it.

If you have a green thumb, locate and sprout exotic seeds and flip them in Ebay. There are huge seed places on the web with 20 or more very exotic / rare seeds for only a couple of £. Look at Ebay to see what different plants and plant sizes go for. I'd be doing this but stuck in a place with no good light. Be aware of phytosanitation licences needed or just say screw it and overnight them in a ziplock bag.

If you really are deparate and this may have been covered already, find chirches without a minister. Make sure it is a demonination that is obscure so you don't get your credentials checked. A large amount of churches just want a preacher. Make up a fake background and tell them you come from some equally obscure church, or you just got back from a 20 year overseas mission to Africa. Taking Collection Plate money is a no no, but I think they wouldn't mind you taking the food bank near entrance. Unless a poor family who frequents Chruch already claimed it first. from my experience the foodbanks have always been better then having to go to the Salvation Army. especially this time of the year.

You can make 50k-100k as a third party seller for Amazon. Its hard work, but you're the boss. I does take a few thousand in startup capital and there is a learning curve, but the business model works.

springtime: seeds/plants are a big thing. seeds are cheap. some places charge 2.79 for one/two tomato plants. ive started seeds in my garage. when planting time comes i put the plants out on a table. they sell like hotcakes. flowers are HUGE sellers too. get the planters off freecycle. you can even get the soil too. people get rid of this stuff. **and your customers will come back every year.


Cant say enough how true this is... if you have any available space to grow food, do it. Keep what you need, sell the rest. This is as simple as putting an ad out there. We hold several sales at home throughout the growing season, to get the word out we only use free local advertising. Some people want full plants others want the harvest. Overall this can be a good supplemental money maker. The inner city poses bigger challenges but can be successful. Local grocers may buy from you as well. It is much cheaper to grow your own leafy greens and tomatoes than to buy them from a store, you are already saving yourself money.

I'm with OP, self sufficiency in anyway is most rewarding. Sure startup is always challenging but after those first few baby steps I bet you don't turn back. Keep in mind that this is an idea for supplemental income at first. I'm at a point now where I grow year round at very low cost. LED's have come along way baby.
