We had a surprise miscarriage (didn't know she was pregnant) too. When we were more settled, three children arrived with no problems.

She is conflicted, not knowing quite sure how to feel. Which is to be expected.

I went through it the only time I was able to conceive. Lost the baby at the 4 month mark. It was horrible. Always wanted a big family and we have no children.

Miscarriage is physically painful and like giving birth with contractions and all.
