Nightshade User ID: 599165 ![]() 06/27/2009 05:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Step 1 Strip the mattress of its sheets and spray a layer of cold water all over it. Step 2 Pour baking soda over the mattress so that it is completely coated. Cover the mattress with a fitted sheet and allow it to sit overnight. Step 3 The next day, take off the fitted sheet and allow it some more time to completely dry. Vacuum up the baking soda from the mattress using an attachment or a handheld mini vac. Step 4 Spray an odor-absorbing deodorizer (such as Febreze) all over the mattress and again allow it a few hours to absorb the cigarette smell. Open the windows to allow fresh air to replace the cigarette odor. Step 5 If you still smell traces of the cigarette smoke, fill a handheld carpet shampooer with a solution comprised of carpet cleaner, Febreze and a little bit of baking soda. Take your time running the cleaning brushes across the mattress. Allow it to dry for a few hours before putting sheets back on. |

Giftedest User ID: 576059 ![]() 06/27/2009 06:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I tried lots of things to rid my car of cig smell... Febreze was a waste of money, it masks odor temporarily. Vinegar in a shallow pan for a few hot days, not much better than above. Coffee grounds under the seat for a week, nada. Lemon, cut in half and left to dry out, BINGO!!! Since then, any time I get a (work) car that stinks of smoke I cut a lemon, put half in the trunk and half in the drink holder. Don't know why this works and not all the rest (I left out several), but it sure does works! Maybe place several cut lemons on/under the bed and cover in plastic for a week or so? |

1-2-THE DOME User ID: 491789 ![]() 06/27/2009 11:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A) Wait, I just had a much better Idea. you will need: 1)Acme backpack leaf blower, (40 horsepower model) 2) 1 Fuckload of acme cigs.. 3) duct tape 4) some ducting 6) 1 acme pocket knife. cut a large enough hole in the mattress to stick the nozzle of the reef blower into. ductape 200 cigs together and plug your ac duct with this mass of cigs. Attach the duct to the intake portal of the reef blower (duct tape). Fire up the blower, and light the cigs. The reef blower will take care of the rest for you. B)1) put weights on top of the mattress (compressing it) 2) make a line of small holes around the mattress edges 3) insert cigarettes in holes & light them 4) remove weights & the mattress will inhale C)put about 1500 cig butts into a bucket of water, and let them soak over night. Then pour cig juice over the entire mattress, repeat this 10x for maximum effect. It is a great day to be alive! |
