Meanwhile, it was an unseasonal 68 degrees today for the high in Central Illinois. I am starting to have doubts that my garden or the corn and bean crops around my house are going to make this summer. Family members are wearing sweats tonight, on the first of July.

I cannot believe the American people buy this global warming crap, and I cannot believe that people are going to sit by idly while all the products they buy are going to shoot up in price, and their utility bills this coming very cold winter are going to skyrocket. Yes, they can...then the bill will go to conference committee between the House and Senate for the compromise legislation. Unfortunately for the GOP, none of their amendments are getting attached...and with unfunny Al Franken joining the club the Dems have a filibuster-proof majority. Ye with Dem Senators need to make some NOISE fast or we are all gonna be in a world of hurt.

I learned that hard truth when, horrified, I watched every Dem vote for every Banker Bailout. After 30 years of voting straight Dem, I thought I must be seeing things.

I called A LOT of Dem. reps. on the Hill and talked to their staffers. I pleaded with them to not waste our money on these thieves. I knew We the People would NEED that $$ for things like schools, health care, jobs, etc. when TSHTF.

The first couple bailouts, it was easy to get throughon the phones. Not many Americans were paying attention yet to what was going down. This was two and a half years ago.

All the Dems were for the bankers, most, MOST (80%) of the Repubs did NOT want to bail the Bankers. So I called and called the Dems. Finally, I told the staffers I would never EVER vote Dem again. NEVER. If they kept on Bailing the Banks with Our Money.

By the Fannie/Freddie/Foreign Bond Holder Bailout, to my relief, when I called the Dems in Congress, the lines were absolutely JAMMED. FOR A WEEK. EVERYBODY WAS CALLING. I found out that the calls went THREE HUNDRED to ONE AGAINST the Bailout.

Did the Dems care? NO THEY DID NOT. They voted 229 Yea, THREE Nay on that Bailout. The Repub vote was 45 Yea, ONE HUNDRED FORTY NINE Nay.

Now I knew I'd keep my promise to never vote Dem again.
THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT US. WE ARE NOT THEIR CONSTITUENTS. HELL, I'm not even sure they give a sh*t about the United States of America. Seriously, they will sell themselves (and us too) down the river to the highest bidder, and not give it a second thought.

The money is GONE now.

I guess my only consolation is that more Dem voters are finally beginning to get a clue, painful as it is, and seeing them for who they really are.
