There are two new vehicles this rocket would carry - one generic cargo container, the other an Apollo-like capsule for astronaut travel. Those new vehicles could both go to the moon or the international space station.' |

This would cut down the expense a great deal and the astronaut pool. It would also weed out the wanna bee-s and leave a smaller, more deadicated astronaut pool of true believers. That's the spirit the USA needs-those Final Frontier types; not the depends wearing, oh I'm afraid I'll brak a nail goombahs that clog up the current space program. Quoting: marty 719442Most of the "astronauts" these days are "clones"......do to a shortage of "real people" willing to take these sorts of risks! :( |

Quoting: Marty McFly 719442Because they would not have the fuel to go for TLI! - (accelerate to 25,000 mph) "My wish for you is that you succeed beyond your wildest imagination. That you find love in places that astound you. And that you have friends who call you "just because." I dream that you go barefoot more than you wear shoes. That you play as hard as you work. And that you laugh more than you cry. I want you to set the bar high, but not too high. To reach for the stars, but with your toes on the ground. And to never, ever stop dreaming. But most of all, I wish for your happiness..." |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 534125 ![]() 07/06/2009 01:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't think anyone will be going to the moon or anywhere else for that matter. We know they are there and they don't want us there so what this really is , is another black op rape of the American people's money which is all the space program is anyway. |

Quoting: Marty McFly 719442The shuttle can't carry enough fuel to break Earth orbit. Those make-believe shuttles in Armageddon were supposed to be a new, top-secret thing. It's good to be open-minded, just don't let your brain fall out. |
