If they ban one guy, 3 days later another guy might get that IP if the banned guy let his DHCP lease expire. So the innocent guy gets instantly banned. Most ISPs put a short lease on IP addresses, so if you feel you were unjustly banned, just pull the plug on your router just before your lease expires. Plug it back in, and you will have a new IP. |
