Anonymous Coward User ID: 654537 United States 07/11/2009 12:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So I go to do my walk in the park. It's Friday after work, never exercise on a Friday but I felt energized and was in the mood. First time. Quoting: hardboiledhereticDidn't even finish the first mile. I'm looking around and lo and behold, not even after the first mile was completed, I see a cat looking at me, sitting on a tree branch by the fence. Stopped. Went over and checked it out. Don't you know this poor little bag of bones loved being petted and was rubbing my hand. I'm thinking, oh no, SHIT - I've already got four....stay here and I'll go get you food. No that didn't happen. Right when I was thinking that, she started to come off her perch and come to me. At that point it was like fuck it, I'm bringing you home. Ran over to the pet store for Frontline and shampoo. In my basement bathroom right now. Other than being starved she seems pretty healthy. I'll take her in to the vet tomorrow. I think she might be an older kitten, not sure....I know she's very young. Long gray fur with beautiful golden eyes. I'm thinking of calling her Isis. I usually prefer cutesy names, like Peaches or Tinkerbelle but Isis popped into my head. I'm open to suggestions though. Most importantly, she is the most affectionate cat I've ever encountered. Doesn't want to leave my lap. She's no fool! lol h You sound like my sister. She cannot pass by a stray cat without takiing it home. Her husband keeps saying no more, but her cat family continues to grow... |

If she had been aloof and shy, I might have contacted the agency I volunteer for and they would have taken her in to be adopted. But so far, I think I'm going to keep her. Depends on the rest of my cats but they're pretty cool. h |

Mine just reprogrammed my display so my taskbar disappears and I can see more posts. Just jumped on my keyboard and voila! Or was it intentional? They are so smart you know. I hav only named two of my five 11 week old kitties so far. TiggerTwo and Bobblehead becauase they are all white with blue eyes except for one orange tiger stripped and Bobblehead bobbles its head when it eats like one of those bobblehead dolls you put in your rear window. One of the five is a female but I don't know which one yet. They even have a nanny - another mature female that looks after them like they were her own when the real mammas gone. I posted their birth here on GLP eleven weeks ago because I'd never had kitties before and didn't know what to expect and was trying to get some advice. |

Goodbye, halcyon days... There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened. |

Doesn't want to leave my lap. Quoting: hardboiledhereticShe's no fool! lol So, you;re NOT nearly as hard-boiled as you claim! Bless you! I'm waiting for something similar now that my cat has decided to live somewhere else (he's been back twice in 3 months). This time, I'm thinking a tortie female. I had one many years ago, and she was BY FAR the best cat I ever had. But there is a Siamese on Craigslist that looks good, and I've HAD Siamese before, and know how to handle them. . |

hardboiledheretic (OP) User ID: 716940 United States 07/11/2009 09:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Update: Kitty is healthy! Yay! No nasty feline leuk, etc. And it's a boy. About 6 mos. old. This morning we had the worst rainstorm of the season. Remember I just found him last night, which was a beautiful night. Given those circumstances I decided to name him Angel. Because the Angels were definitely looking out for him. He's quite a love bug and pretty mellow. Just today introducing him to the other cats. So far so good but it will take time. Thanks for your responses everyone. h |

He and his girlfriend have 11 cats/kittens. There are two more, but they don't think they're gonna keep those two. I was over a few days ago and man I don't think I've ever seen that many cats/kittens in one place. They are all strays..........I think. |
