Most importantly, she is the most affectionate cat I've ever encountered. Doesn't want to leave my lap.

Bless you! I'm waiting for something similar now that my cat has decided to live somewhere else (he's been back twice in 3 months).
This time, I'm thinking a tortie female. I had one many years ago, and she was BY FAR the best cat I ever had.
But there is a Siamese on Craigslist that looks good, and I've HAD Siamese before, and know how to handle them.
