NASA ...Show Me The Lunar Rover Tracks !!! | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 725590 Spain 07/19/2009 06:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, the moon landings are part of history. Independent confirmation, huh? How about tracking from multiple international tracking stations? Oh, wait, they were all "in on it," right? Quoting: The GuyIf you read how was in Australia you can read that Nasa guys come with their own equipment and their own absolutely all. The australians simply watched what come out of all the apparatus the american guys from Nasa bring. And of course it was a movie pre-recorded, while Armstrong and company were in orbit or perhaps already waiting here in Earth. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 725590 Spain 07/19/2009 06:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Show me a video where the lack of dust demonstrates that is the Moon and I will post some competition videos of motos running in ground throwing ground but without dust (perhaps the competition is in the fucking Moon?). Quoting: The GuyDude, the dirt in motorcross racing is wet down before the race. You have answered yourself. Congratulations. You see a dry ground in photos in high quality and the rover throw to the air wet ground and in a low quality you don't see a shit in the movie. That's it. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 725590 Spain 07/19/2009 06:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, lets compare masses, shall we? Quoting: The GuyLM ascent stage: 4,670kg Space shuttle: 78,000kg empty, usually closer to 100,000kg Can you see how the shuttle might have just a bit more momentum? Do you want I post Armstrong flying one of the landing modules for practising and we will look how stop motion or no are the movements? You don't see any movement ever like that Apollo 11 rendezvous ever from the Apollo missions. Just show me a video with something like that. |

What you need as proof of autenticity? How you know a rock is from Mars or Venus? Microimpacts? Do you believe NASA is unable to create microimpacts? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 725590It'd be easier to just go to the moon and get some rather than try to fool that many people, lol! It's good to be open-minded, just don't let your brain fall out. |

Well, you know, it would help if you'd occasionally give yourself a name. The forum software does not assign static numbers to dynamic IPs, you know. What....you have time to hunt up the emoticon you want, but not enough time to put "IamATard" at the top of your posts? Oh, big deal, they landed an automated spacecraft on the Moon. As compared to first satellite in orbit, first man in orbit, first woman in orbit...big hoorah. Meanwhile the US does everything they do, only better and longer, AND goes to the Moon. And the Soviet's don't even "Oh, we'll let you piddle around on the Moon, we're already moving beyond moons to actual planets. Here's pics of our landers on Mars. Here's the radio signal of one of our probes leaving the frigging solar system completely!" Nope. Apparently, they decided to throw the race. While the US can prance around saying "We're walking on the Moon" the Soviets can say "One day soon we'll be really good at getting to orbit. And, hell, you should have seen us ten years ago. We were the bee's knees then!" |

I'm coming back from calling it an expensive mistake, to calling it a worthwhile gamble that didn't pay off. It was a nice idea, but the program never quite had the money or development time to make it work. Meanwhile the Russians polished up Big Dumb Rockets, and proved that economies of scale still trump economies of technology for getting to orbit. At least so far. What the EU is doing with their robotic spacecraft looks very promising. |

The Soviets would've loved to humiliate the US during the Cold War. Why do you think they didn't? Didn't you hear about the Space Lizards? You see, if space lizards are in charge of both USA and USSR, there would be no need to humiliate USA, unless it was part of the plan. Russian space lizards say, give us your rubles! We will go to space! They collect up the Russian money, and produce Soyuz. And with the leftover money, build a big secret underground lizard base. USA space lizards say, we are better! We can go to the moooon! They collect up the USA money, make some movies, and build a big secret underground lizard base. Russian space lizards could then say "The USA faked it!", but why would they? The Russian and USA space lizards are doing high fives, happy to have collected lots of money and built some very fancy secret underground bases. Then they wanted the secret underground bases to be completely gold plated, so they cranked up the Cold War. USSR space lizards: "Give us your money! We build missiles to destroy USA oppressors! They are trying to kill us!". Collect money, get secret base gold plated, enjoy! USA space lizards: "Look at the USSR! They're building missiles! We must build even more and bigger missiles than them!". Collect money, get secret base gold plated, enjoy! Now you might say that's silly. But where is the PROOF that all those nuclear missiles actually work and cost millions of dollars each? Maybe they're just big tin cans stuck in a hole in the ground. |
Skeptic the First User ID: 725789 United States 07/20/2009 09:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As the Russians have always said, the US has Hollywood/Disney, and Russia doesn't. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 439828This is true, but it's more than that. The Soviet Union was an inveterate liar, but a very inept liar. Because its society did not have even the superficial trappings of freedom, and did not have the deception artists of a Hollywood or even a Broadway, its bureaucracy used ham-handed techniques to tell people what to think. This worked to some extent only as long as the society remained rather closed, but it eventually came apart at the seams. Americans, on the other hand, cling to the illusion of freedom, and to the masterful illusions of Hollywood. As FDR correctly figured out by 1941, to fool Americans one must put on a show. And so he plotted and executed a dramatic extravaganza that not only pulled the United States into war but made Americans positively enthusiastic for blood. By the 1960s, the American military-industrial-intelligence complex had mastered this technique, with plenty of help from Hollywood. Thus, the United States government was able to pull off a hoax so impressive that it was not only the Fraud of the Century but the Fraud of the Millennium. Or as Norman Mailer (himself a prize-winning creative artist) put it: [link to en.wikipedia.org] --- "The event (Apollo 11 Moonwalk) was so removed, however, so unreal, that no objective correlative existed to prove it had not been an event staged in a television studio—the greatest con of the century—and indeed a good mind, product of the iniquities, treacheries, gold, passions, invention, deception, and rich worldly stink of the Renaissance could hardly deny that the event if bogus was as great a creation in mass hoodwinking, deception, and legerdemain as the true ascent was in discipline and technology. Indeed, conceive of the genius of such a conspiracy. It would take criminals and confidence men mightier, more trustworthy and more resourceful than anything in this century or the ones before." --- |
