It really shouldn't be a surprise because we all know that unless it is on hardcopy (paper) or on our own disk, it can be manipulated. In fact, 'REVISION' is scarier than deletion. Just goes to show that we all need to print off important info because it may disappear or be 'REVISED' and remember, too, --- keep buying/collecting books! |

Bezos can't delete stuff off that and I can put more than just one format on it including PDFs and Google formatted e-books as well as raw text from Project Gutenberg. And with third party Calibre I can even subscribe to blogs of my choosing. |

Anonymous Coward III User ID: 1407455 ![]() 11/07/2014 08:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have had Amazon delete close to twenty books from my Kindle device. I signed up for a promotional program for $10 a month. I could download up to ten books from a large list of books on this promotional list. I got my first batch of books removed after 30 days before I had a chance to read them all. Then Amazon double charged me for one month's fee. As a result, I'm keeping the wireless on my kindle turned off for the foreseeable future. Also, I'm not going to buy anything from Amazon, especially Ebooks. Sure I didn't read the fine print, but its no wonder Amazon's earnings are declining. |
