ashes to ashes
dust to dust

it breaks down and absorbs into the earth
Goodbye, halcyon days.

Here is where I look back.
Here is where you fell.
This is where I got up,
Shaking off my tail
This is where your rope trick
Started to look stale.
A greyhound pass for the boy in the well.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

We'd also be a few feet deep in dead insects if they never decomposed.

They've been there for millions of years, if you believe the evolutionists, therefore there should be hundred of millions of skeletons in the earth since we have only been here a releatively short time.

I read that more people are alive today than ever died in history. Can anyone confirm this? It was in one of those amazing facts type lists.

are you purposely trying to misunderstand me?

google some facts before you post stupid things like this.
human bones take anywhere from 30-50 years to decompose completely. but it depends on where they are buried.

Re: Billions of people have lived and died, where are the bones?
Fossilization is an exceptionally rare occurrence, because most components of formerly-living things tend to decompose relatively quickly following death. In order for an organism to be fossilized, the remains normally need to be covered by sediment as soon as possible. However there are exceptions to this, such as if an organism becomes frozen, desiccated, or comes to rest in an anoxic (oxygen-free) environment. There are several different types of fossils and fossilization processes.

don't worry. they will find them in about 10,000,000 years, as life redevelops on this planet. the difference between human bones and fossilized dinosaur bone is that humans have not had the pleasure of having the earths surface covered in hot lava yet like our friends the dinosaurs.

The dino bones got encased in large quantites of mud from the axis change that took them out, and thus preserved. Most bones don't experience this.

Depending on the culture of the area probably under your feet or burned. Just really need to look if you are truly interested.

Have you ever heard of the city of the dead under Paris?

[link to www.socyberty.com]

A city of millions of dead people is just under the big city of Paris!

The Catacombs of Paris is the city of the dead. It is a group of caves and tunnels that is located directly under Paris and goes out for more than 300 kilometers.

The city of the dead started out first as a quarry of limestone. The catacombs were actually built by the Romans thousands of years ago. The quarry grew bigger and eventually became a city which covered a large expanse of land. During the reign of Philippe-Auguste, he started having tunnels made so he could make ramparts to protect the city. The quarries became more complicated as time passed and was so filled with tunnels that it was easy to get lost in them. The quarry also provided enough limestone to build housings and structures for many centuries.

Did the iron in your blood and calcium in your bones come from a long-ago supernova? Astronomer and writer Carl Sagan thought so. "We are star stuff", Sagan once said.
Every one of us is precious in the cosmic perspective. If a human disagrees with you, let him live. In a hundred billion galaxies, you will not find another.

We are star stuff which has taken its destiny into its own hands.
