Has anyone else noticed that two average or below average looking people tend to have very pretty children and two above average looking people often have unattractive children?

Had a college reunion with friends last week...these friends haven't gotten together in nearly 30 years. I am female and all of the women in this group were heavy. They all told me I looked the same...the guys looked good. It was interesting. I only had one drink (I don't drink that much anymore but have stayed away from alcohol because it adds so many calories) but most everyone was having several drinks. I tend to drink a lot of water.
