LURKING User ID: 656081 United States 07/30/2009 07:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Never turned up the audio... rather tedious cuss ain't he? Tsunami evacuation routes for the cities along that section of coast are a joke anyway. Many have you going over bridges or into areas that will be cut off if a full on Cascadia megathrust occurs.... like you will have time to do more than kiss your ass goodbye. Sort of reminds me of the Hurricane evacuation routes down here. On more than one occasion, the hurricane makes landfall and people are stuck on I-10 riding it out... in their car... 30 miles from any exit. Many of which put you in low lying floodplains. "The Truth is so valuable that it must be protected with a bodyguard of lies" Winston Churchill Punted from GLP for the last time by unresponsive mods. Have gone to greener pastures where there is more professionalism. |

I have family there. Just wondering. I suspect that the sea swell will affect even the sounds and even rivers to a point inland. Fishing and skiing keeps me a little sane. |
weatherbill (OP) User ID: 711645 United States 07/30/2009 07:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Lurking, I bring up that very point in my conclusion, that road ways and bridges will be out anyways, but wanted to walk people thru to show them that even if they weren't, they still would'nt escape, so the tsunami evac signs are a joke....agreed, but its good to prove it on video for non thinking people so they might get some brains about all this. With a Cascadia subduction zone rupture, there is only 15-18 minutes for the people to get to higher ground There's an element of truth in it. Most evacuation routes are designed to make people feel better. The nuke plant explosion evacuation in my hometown is a running joke. If faced with an actual inescapable tsunami large parking garages are great because they're tough, open, strong and have easy roof access. Use your own best judgment and wear a lifejacket. |

weatherbill (OP) User ID: 711645 United States 07/31/2009 06:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wel, I just hope everyone will get out on sept 2nd or else, this sept 3rd 2010 tsunami will burry most of the peopl eof ocean shores washington. other tsunami evac routes look ok because there is a hill in town people can go up to, like in hoquiam and aberdeen washington, but the people of ocean shores have little hope, since there is no hill in town to run to WW3 is coming - 2ww4.blogspot.com |
weatherbill (OP) User ID: 740251 United States 08/02/2009 12:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm gonna make another tsunami evac route video in ocean park washington because by looking at the map, it too, looks like you need to go south for a while till you head east. It looks like 14 miles south from oysterville till you go east and by the time people travel 14 miles south, a tsunami coming in at 50 mph, would burry them within 15-20 minutes from the quake/alarm going off, so I give those people even less hope than the people at ocean shores washington. Haven't been there let, but I bet they have tsunami evac signs all up and down that place, to comfort the people who rely on such things. those tsunami evac signs are a joke in some places, while in other places, they are good if they lead to a good hill close by. Even if he's wrong with the date, sooner or later a Tsunami will hit, and people's lifes will be at risk. Pointing out that tsunami scape routes are worthless is an act of heroism, in any case. He believes he has been given an information and, instead of keeping a low profile for fear of being branded as a nut, he prefers to share what he honestly and firmly believes is an important and life threatening situation, and he even manages himself to take the time to educate people on how flimsy is their chance of scape in case of a tsunami hit their coast. My Best Regards! thanx for the encouragement! I have another tsunami escape route failure I made today of oysterville washington. The tsunami evac signs lead you up a to a 20 foot hill, which is only about 30 feet above sea level. What a joke! The 2004 Tsunami was 30-50 feet high water level and buried up to 18 miles inland. They say the cascadia tsunami is gonna be 70-100 feet high and so, that littel 30 20 foot hill in oysterville washington is a death trap! WHoever lead people to believe they could escape a tsunami just 30 ft above sea level and about 1.5 miles inland is a danger to society. WW3 is coming - 2ww4.blogspot.com |
