Hello .. I am very close to Christina & Quarryville .. are you saying there was a meteor that went down there resently ?

I'm pretty sure that is the gist of this guy's blog - he is looking for a meteorite that already hit, and not one that is incoming. There are various mentions of it being a massive '10,000g' - that would be 10kg ;)

it looks like quaryville is on the path of this meteor. he's saying it would have crashed in bird in hand. Meteors don't crash most of the time, they break up in the air before they hit ground, so you might have some meteorites on the ground in quarryville. I live in PA too, might have to go meteorite hunting :)

Maybe it's an early one for the Perseid meteor shower. It's supposed to start tomorrow night, around midnight, thru the night. Good time to spend a night outside.

Wow, there is a video there of some hikers and a hot rock from the sky that's pretty believable...contact Tacoma police if you have any information on these two missing hikers. Pretty exciting stuff.

I went to this page, wtf are you talking about??? it's a blog site....

yes I have heard about the military making the meteor data classified. They used to share this data with scientists for 15 years and they just changed the policy recently? WHY?

Write your congressmen and tell them you want them to change this policy.

If scientists can not have access to this info it will greatly hamper their ability to detect an earth bound asteroid out in space. If we don't know its coming, we can't stop it and then we will really have meteor doom.

Why would the military do this? Unless they know what is coming and they don't want people to freak out.

we're really neglecting the meteor doom lately!
