I'm quite sure the Romans thought their shit would last forever. It's only hard to really believe it because it's happening right in front of us, but history has countless examples of this. No big deal in the great scheme of things, just another empire down. More will rise and fall long after this, we ain't nothing special. |

I used to say, when you’re vacuuming your apartment, Rome falls nine times and hour, and your job is to notice. And you always do notice, but you never tell yourself that you’re noticing. In the course of the day, I live, and you live, to some degree, the entirety of global civilization. I mean, Rome falls, algebra is discovered, the Turks are beaten at the gates of Vienna, and it isn’t even 11am yet! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 753361Are you trying to say that 'shit happens'? I'm not following you. Please expound. I believe that the financial crisis has been engineered. It has been designed to break us and crush the will of the people. It will take years but they will probably succeed. The economy will improve soon and there will be another boom. The people like me with little or no money have already been crushed economically. But with this boom the semi-rich millionaires will try to recoup their losses. The market will crash harder than ever and destroy the well to do along with us paycheck to paycheck people leaving two classes. The super ultra mega rich will survive unscathed. The rest of us "will work for food". I'm all for a one world government if it is created by us, not the banksters. |

Hes just a doom monger. Lie. The most he has said about dates was by 2012 we would have complete chaos and people would be more worried about getting food than anything. Why don't you show us where it says that in print. |

"rome falls nine times a day" was a favourite phrase of his as the fractal nature of time lead to multiple resonances of historical events throughout the timeline. the downfall of one empire is the resonance of another's downfall... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 573413 ![]() 08/23/2009 11:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I predict when the vultures have snatched up enough cheap real estate then the economy will improve again, real estate prices will go up, giving them time to sell their cheap properties at top prices, when they have done that they will make sure another crisis comes around so they can buy more cheap real estate that others have probably bought off them at top prices. |

That is why it is ONLY possible that the ONE truly LOVING God exists; otherwise we would be gone and forgotten, if even ever in existence. |
