Anyone here in the Rental Business?
Just kicking the idea around tonight. I am educated and experienced but just want to be on my own...self reliant etc. Tired of making others rich...ya know?

I haven't done a lick of research on this yet...so thought maybe I could get some insight from people here.

What are the positives/negatives? Seems to me that in this economy people would rather rent than buy. Things like pressure washers, specialized tools for home-remodeling, generators, big ladders, engine hoists etc etc...

What are the top ten most rented items (aside from tents and awnings)? Anyone know?

Thanks!

If your serious about it..I'd give you the best advice I ever got for starting a new business...go find a rental place and work there for about 3 months...PAID on the job training plus all the contacts and ins and outs of the biz
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Not anymore. I retired from proctology to help my brother in law run a golf shop. MUCH better.

Are you saying the rental business is similar to proctology? That may not be a good sign...
