Quoting: Anonymous Coward 717575I can believe that.... but still, I think it is quite strange that so many accidents happened in the last couple days and almost all in N America. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 766459I can believe that.... but still, I think it is quite strange that so many accidents happened in the last couple days and almost all in N America. thats very possible of those companies have their planes maintained at the same facility. If a particular facility is cutting corners and using unsafe maintenance practices, chances are you will find a pattern thruout the planes they maintain. You should find out the maintenance facility that worked on those planes, see if theyre the same. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 766459 ![]() 09/09/2009 08:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well they all look like small private planes, since the numbers of affected people is around 0-4.... So I don't really think I would be able to track the repair facility for them all. And since the accidents are scattered all over N America, I can't really see that being a possibility. Just too many lame pilots? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 717575I'd love to see the data reporting your statement. According to the NTSB (National Transportation and Safety Board) the vast majority of aviation accidents and incidents are caused by pilot error. Only a very small percentage of them are caused by incorrect maintenance. |

The article is basicly just about the hughe amount of crashes, and about the fact that after they've posted the article online an hour after it disappeared (the disappear part was an update in the article). Now I can send you the link of the article too, but only if you are good in reading Dutch you'll understand it ![]() |
Erik User ID: 781094 ![]() 09/27/2009 05:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | l.s. I am Dutch, and if anyone wants a translation it will not be very interesting. What is interesting is what are the different accident types about. Seem to be a lot of landings and take-offs. What is the common denominator. Could glitches in the earth magnetic field be the cause. Or are we looking at a solar/EM related issue. Maybe pressure valve problems so flyers cannot see the real hight or speed of the aircraft.... Can we track one or two of the flyers for an explanation ??? Stay save Erik |
