I believe in my heart of hearts that OBAMA is a Marxist/Communist who is going to socialize America.....and all that that means.

I sincerely believe that OBAMA is the biggest mistake that America ever made.

I believe that he is a Chicago thug who has an agenda that is destructive to America.....

I think there is a problem with doctor's liability insurance costs driving up the rates they have to charge for healthcare. Pres. Obama did say that he would not negotiate this part of the plan without ensuring protection for the People - we have to be careful and hold him to that one.

Otherwise, I am happy with what he said tonight.

I would think that people here would be interested to hear how your won healthcare situation is progressing, since that was the topic of tonights speech...although perhaps not this thread.

My health is good, I am in remission. Doing very well thank you. As for Obama, I like the man personally. That's right, I am not American, but I pay much more close attention to what is happening in america than I do Canada...Canada is doing fine. Not as good as we could be, but we are a great nation with a fantastic health care system. Not without it's flaws, like long waiting times for care...but all in all, we take care of all of our citizens, no matter whether they are rich, or desparately poor. No one is denied health care here, for any reason, as far as I know.

It appears that it's been taken over by a bunch of far right nutjobs who are on here pumping their own propoganda machine. Ultimately I think Obama is trying to bring some real reform to the country but either way, whether he is succesful or not he will be demonized badly and thus his reelection doesn't seem to be in the cards for him. Uhhh no one is denied healthcare here either...and that is by law.....just how fantastic is a system where you have to wait months and months for a simple operation? Even if there is not future health implications for waiting isn't there an inherent hardship applied to YOU THE PEOPLE for having to wait for these debilitating health issues to be taken care of? We do not have that here.....if I tear something in my hip? I will have it remedied immediately...even it requires surgery...no wait...no "intermediate suites" in hospitals, they do not exist here....and if I need an MRI for this procedure?...I can have that in a matter of days...not weeks, not months. So why should we adopt a model such as your country has again?
