I personally like Obama.

Maybe all the crap about him is based on lies...misinformation....paranoia....demonizing the president, is now the accepted norm. Do we love our president like we used to? What did you think of his speech on healthcare tonight? I thought it was very good. I liked how he talked about Ted Kennedy, too.

I like him, I have read all the crap about him, the lies and propaganda, smear tactics, trying to take down the great president of the united states of america, even if only destroying his reputation in the eyes of the people.

The proof will be in the pudding. And I suspect those that hate Obama will continue to do so...

But I believe he is a good, and decent man. Who is going to give it everything he's got to fix the problems of America, affecting the entire world.

I have hope. The socialism scare, kinda scared me. Is Obama's intention to intruduce socialism to America, or was that a lie, all hype, hate and propaganda, to demonize the president?

I do think that "something" is behind the demonization of Obama. They want you to hate him. They are doing everything in their deceptive power to create mass hate for him...

I am stymied by all the anti-obama rhetoric that is circulating now...hard to believe they once loved the man, now they hate him...and how infectious the hate can be...how fast it can travel...

I voted for obama as the lesser of 2 evils, but i am very cynical about ALL politicians with the possible exceptions of kucinich and ron paul. When W was president, a lot of people on this site disliked him, but they usually had some rational reasons for that dislike (patriot act, wars, etc). Dislike for obama sometimes is SO visceral, that i can't help but think the fact that we have a half black president is the real reason for so much of the hate. Obama is a tool of the establishment like all presidents. No better or worse than most of them..

Maybe we need to call it something less threatening than the new world "order". Order implies control, even oppression. We feel threatened by the word order. Maybe if they changed it to "New World Cooperation", or something less intimidating.

I remember when this site was loaded with anti-Bush people and it was also loaded with pro-Bush people too, and it was a good balance. The pro-Bush people, god-bless-their-souls for speaking out even though I didn't like Bush, were expressing themselves even though Bush was very unpopular at the time.

Now, I see that the pro-Obama people are afraid to speak out here, even though Obama's popularity is much higher than Bush's a year or two ago.

This makes it very clear to me how the conservative people are much more aggressive than the liberal people.

Anyway it is nice to see someone trying to balance this declining forum.
