Sins are sins.

Murder, lying, stealing, homosexual acts, pornographic compulsion, PRIDE is loathed by God.

We could argue all day, the point is, in Romans 1, Paul quotes, as an Apostle of Christ (having the authority give to him by God) ...'exchanging the use of their bodies, lusting for one another...doing shameful things'.

Hold on, bear with me.

When I read that verse one day, I changed instantly, inside of me, no longer could I 'be at peace or ease' with being with a girl; what a relief I remember feeling.

I knew I wasn't 'gay', I did love her, though she was the mother figure I was void of.

Reading that particular section spoke one very clear and loud message to me, 'its not natural'

We can love the same gender, no doubt whatsoever, and the feelings are 'emotional and deep'.

However, I came to a place where 'common sense' took over, why would God make our genetalia to fit, between a man and woman I mean' ie. gloves fit hands not feet.

Why would God allow people to suffer for loving the same gender, I mean the persecution from others...He never intended anyone to walk around feeling shame for being in love.

For me, instinctively, it repulses me when I have a visual thought of two older males or females sitting on a park bench in a passionate (or mildly) embrace.

Why does it I wonder?

Because the spirit of God within me is offended ('the Kingdom of God is within us).

The Scriptures changed my heart, and my life, and doing my best each day to live by them isn't a party pooping experience, it brings me peace and much much more happiness that the happiest experience of when I was with a woman.

I would never judge a 'gay' person as such, I have no right to judge anyone, but I would show them the same grace, mercy and love that Christ has given to me.

The Holy Spirit convicts and changes the heart of a person, no me, and when we show the love of God to others, that is how other's are drawn to His love.

By the way, we are saved by His grace, and His grace only.

That is why Jesus died for us, He exchanged places with us, we are the guilty ones, and by Him dying on that Cross, He paid for all of our past present and future sins.

Grace.

Just because we (who know Him) have grace, is no excuse to premeditatively do the wrong thing.

His (Jesus') greatest commandment was that we love one another, regardless of our sins, choices and lifestyles.

If we could just love as He loves.
