Re: What does this mean in Revelation 6?
To really understand the Bible you must read the whole thing. Many verses are explained within other verses.

Rev 6:13 and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.

(Mat 24:29 NIV) "Immediately after the distress of those days "'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'

(Mark 13:24-25 NIV) "But in those days, following that distress, "'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; {25} the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'

(Isa 34:4 NIV) All the stars of the heavens will be dissolved and the sky rolled up like a scroll; all the starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree.

(Luke 21:25-26 NIV) "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. {26} Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

Now go to the end of the chapter where you found 6:13.

Rev 6:17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

(Nahum 1:6 NIV) Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him.

Against Ninevah

Mal 3:2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap.

Christ's Second Coming (or is it his first?)

(Joel 2:11 NIV) The LORD thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty are those who obey his command. The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?

The answer to "who can stand?" is found in Rev 7:9

(Rev 7:9 NIV) After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

The reason they could stand was because "they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb", those judged in the sixth seal had not.

(Rev 7:14 NIV) I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

This is one of my favorite verses

(Isa 25:9 NIV) In that day they will say, "Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation."

Amen, let it be so Lord Jesus.

 Quoting: Haile Menelik

The sun will be blackened for awhile putting the whole world in darkness. It will be apparent that the Day of the Lord is at hand. The kings and great men of the world will hide in caves. The moon will become red. The stars will no longer give their light. The verse you asked about is probably figurative in nature. The main point.....they will no longer be there to provide any light or points of reference. The whole world will essentially be put in a state of darkness for awhile.

Yes, Stars represent angels in the Bible...
Yes, as through this world I've wandered
I've seen lots of funny men;
Some will rob you with a six-gun,
And some with a fountain pen.

And as through your life you travel,
Yes, as through your life you roam,
You won't never see an outlaw
Drive a family from their home.

Yeah could be.

Mattew 21
18 Now in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry.
19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves.
He said to it, “Let there be no fruit from you forever!”
Immediately the fig tree withered away.

20 When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree immediately wither away?”
21 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly I tell you, if you have faith, and don’t doubt.
You will not only do what is done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain,
‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.

Re: What does this mean in Revelation 6?
Some claim it already happened, others that it's just before the return of Christ.

THE STARS SHALL FALL FROM HEAVEN

Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:"
Documented Records reveal...

An eyewitness reported "This language of the prophet has always been received as metaphorical. Yesterday it was literally fulfilled,... as no man before yesterday had conceived to be possible that it should be fulfilled... Were I to hunt through nature for a simile, I could not find one so apt to illustrate the appearance of the heavens as that which St. John uses in the prophecy... They were what the world understands by the name of "Falling Stars" -Eyewitness account in the New York Journal of Commerce, vol.8, no.534, Saturday, Nov 16,1833 Edition.
"The morning of November 13th, 1833," says an eyewitness, a Yale astronomer, "was rendered memorable by an exhibition of the phenomenon called shooting stars, which was probably more extensive and magnificent than any similar one hitherto recorded... Probably no celestial phenomenon has ever occurred in this country since its first settlement, which was viewed with so much admiration and delight by one class of spectators, or with so much astonishment and fear by another class." -DENISON OLMSTED in The American Journal of Science and Arts, vol. 25 (1834), pp. 363, 364

"From the Gulf of Mexico to Halifax, until daylight with some difficulty put an end to the display, the sky was scored in every direction with shining tracks and illuminated with majestic fireballs. At Boston, the frequency of meteors was estimated to be about half that of flakes of snow in an average snowstorm... Traced backwards, their paths were invariably found to converge to a point in the constellation Leo." -AGNES M. CLEREKE, A Popular History of Astronomy (1885 ed.), pp. 369, 370.

Frederick Douglas, in reminiscing about his early days of slavery, says: "I witnessed this gorgeous spectacle, and was awe-struck. The air seemed filled with bright messengers from the sky... I was not without the suggestion at the moment that it might be the harbringer of the coming of the Son of Man; and in my then state of mind I was prepared to hail Him as my friend and deliverer. I had read that "the stars shall fall from heaven, and they were now falling." -Life and Times of Frederick Douglass (1941 ed.), p.117.

Re: What does this mean in Revelation 6?
(Just a crazy view)

Every time an object comes through our atmosphare, it brings in more then just an object. like a pebble in a pond it also effects the atmosphare. Not just the object itself, but also gas and light/energy. Depending on where the object has came from, determins what sort of gas/light minerals ect, as well as penetrateing our atmosphare. The light gets stoped at the atmosphare and absorbs into it, as for the phyical object continues through.

Why would objects be considered as seeds? Because there is the possibility that the objects bring with it new types of lifeforms/DNA its light has already effected the atmosphare, this is the future food of the tree that emerges from the seed. Remember the seed was inbedded in this light before it entered the earth atmosphare.

There is also one other object that effects our atmosphare to a large degree, the moon, it has a major effect on our weather, because the moon effect the tides and gravitational pull, and is out side our atmosphare, when changes happen in the atmosphare or space, that can have an effect on our earth, think as gravitation as an invisible force connected to the earth and moon, this connection runs strieght through our atmosphare, one connection 2 worlds. When a change happens in the moons world, it has an effect on the moon side of the connection, thus effecting the connection on earth, unexplain tides ect.
