Re: Reincarnation and gender
I truly believe that we are sent here, some of us repeatedly, to learn lessons missed in previous lives.

I.E. If we were greedy and rich in a previous life, we are sent back to be poor, and to do without so that we know what selfishness means. How our actions hurt others.

I don't remember having any previous lives, but I assume I'm not new.

I am a woman currently, but have some strong male characteristics. Which is odd, considering I'm a petite blonde. I think I was male in a previous life, but never thought about it being at my essence.

I think when we join the Universal Collective Consciousness we are genderless, but would be very interested if others feel differently. And could articulate it.

Nice topic, and extremely interesting Celtic. I have learned a lot from you in the short time I have been on GLP.

Re: Reincarnation and gender
Is it because reincarnation is the easy path and requires no effort on your part?

Are we that lazy and stupid so we place a higher value in our earth-bound finite state than the true reality of infinite state?

 Quoting: tkwasny

I don't believe reincarnation is an easy path at all. We are sent back here to learn lessons we did not in the previous life.

If you thought that being 'pretty' was a card to play through life, you are sent back 'ugly', to know how it feels.

If you were rich and refused to share, you are sent back poor.

I could give you many more examples, but I'm sure you get the picture by now.

Every life relived is an effort to get us to join the higher power, when we become like Mother Theresa, we are ready.

Um, I think the idea is to experience ALL aspects of being, not to become perfect...and haven't you heard, Mother Theresa could be a real bitch. Don't think we should hold her up as the pinnacle of reincarnation.

I really appreciate this thread. Thanks OP. I came into this life this time as a attractive female. It sickens me because I WAS a very dominant male before. I believe the universe has a balance technique which ironically I am being corrected or balanced this time around by being female. I catch myself hating when men look at me thinking I am the alpha male how dare they look at me unless looking up to me. Also I have had children and loving is very different this time around. I am grateful that I have experienced this go around as female but I must admit I am being corrected on past lifes of being male and being so egotistical.

Incidentally, I have no direct knowledge or at least experiences I remember of any previous incarnations, but have been "seen" in at least one by another person.

Anyone have any thoughts on how long we might be on the other side, assessing previous "lessons" and/or planning our next, before we incarnate again, or do you think it's almost instantaneous?

There is no reincarnation. All energy is one, and all time is now. We are all simultaneous expressions of the one, the all.

Those who feel they have reincarnated are simply resonating with certain frequencies...glimpses into lives that relate to what the body is experiencing in time.

Also, add DNA encoded memory into the mix.

Those who make Reincarnation an actual belief system are limiting their understanding and progress with Dogma.

Rise above it!

right on... kind of like when we so polarized ourselves, it seems the universe has a way to balance the awareness and experience out... not sayin the uni-verse does this.. perhaps one does what one gets, or need to experience or something like that. :)

even races... experiences of races and what they do to one another... if aspect of reincarnation and trying on another's shoes, just the aspect of reincarnation...and being in different bodies... makes the race discrimination seem a bit petty, or moot.

Re: Reincarnation and gender
male and female are just different manifestations of energy in the physical form. every human is composed of varying degrees of both energies in every incarnation with one form being more dominate than the other. therefore each of us will experience male and female roles in different incarnations.

Sometimes the physical form is one gender but the energy that dominates is the other gender, thus issues arise with gender confusion, homosexuality, sissy boys and butch girls.

We incarnate in every gender and every race in order to fully experience and express the essence of physical existence. Only incarnating as one gender would be like trying to learn to read while only knowing half the alphabet. there is nothing better than one or the other. both genders are beautiful powerful experiences.

enjoy the ride!

Re: Reincarnation and gender
Have you ever read a book by a woman author? If your answer is yes then you might very well incarnated as a women. Carnations are all at the same time. Before we are ever born, we look at many other lives(carnations) to set up the lessons we will learn in the body we will be born in... and while our soul may not have been in the body of the soul we checked out before we were ever born... the difference is meaningless.. and while I have no memories of a woman's life that I may have looked into before I was born... I would certainly think it would be likely... The clan and cave bear is a book that might have intrigued me... and the author who wrote it... and hundreds of other lives lived by women would be interesting... I am certain my soul would have looked into many woman's lives... rudi

Interesting topic Celtic. I am female this life, but was male in my last.

I don't know if our choice is based so much on whether we want to be male or female in the next life, but more on which body is going to give us the opportunity to physically live out the circumstance we want to experience for our soul's growth.

I believe the soul is actually neither male or female, but MAY have a preference for the traits of one or the other. And these traits MAY have been accumulated through the many physical trips we make here.

I don't believe it's instantaneous. I believe we are told what we should have done, and why. We learn there, as well as here.

I also believe that people who remember previous lives are close to the end. They remember their earlier lessons, and the distance between the two worlds is closing.

The rest of us who believe, but do not remember still have much to learn. It's the journey, not the destination that is important here.

I remember having incarnated as male and there had been nothing feminine in my attitude.

It's probably about hormones and the set up of the brain, but still as I asked in a CD meditation about my male/female reincarnations, there was 80%female and 20% male.

Yet a soul has also to experience the other side to know what it likes better.

 Quoting: Greg_B.

I see where you are coming from, but it really is semantics. Reincarnation is more of the symbolization of THe One Infinite's way of splitting Itself to All Being Power & Knowledge. If the terminology for splitting & reliving is reincarnation, So Be IT. Its a way for Itself {being Everything including Us} of understanding why we live over and over.It teaches Itself True balance. The One, is Infinite and absolutley Everything. It relearns through all and everything all the time. That is why there is such extreme balance in the Universe. The male/female protocol, I call it, is a good lesson on how to teach Itself polarity or balance while here on this plane or dimension. There are many stages and sub-stages of The Infinite One that it is always functioning. If people here need to start this learning process by understanding reincarnation that's ok, because it gets them to Truth as needed for their part in The Infinite Ones growth. We are where We Are because this is where We are needed. It truly is all about Balance peace

Nice post, thank you

Simply put, I love women in a much different way than I love men, though I do love men as my brothers, women bring out my capacity for loving far more than men do.

And again, I'll revert to the concept of Twin Flames; I believe my Twin Flame to be female

Lilmiss, this might answer your question too.

Interesting topic, being a 28 year old man whos recently decided to let free my inner self and become a transsexual hopefully eventually to be a woman ive wondered recently weather if "this" time around im actually still feeling what I was in a former life or if its my own life thats feeling that way and its a feeling ive gathered from this life,

its all very interesting, another question to ask is weather if the spirit exists at all, because I think like a woman in heart and mind.. is my spirit actually female and I am genuinely in the wrong body or will my death and rebirth result in the correction of my mind that makes me think im a woman
