Re: Reincarnation and gender
Incidentally, I have no direct knowledge or at least experiences I remember of any previous incarnations, but have been "seen" in at least one by another person.

Anyone have any thoughts on how long we might be on the other side, assessing previous "lessons" and/or planning our next, before we incarnate again, or do you think it's almost instantaneous?

I don't believe it's instantaneous. I believe we are told what we should have done, and why. We learn there, as well as here.

I also believe that people who remember previous lives are close to the end. They remember their earlier lessons, and the distance between the two worlds is closing.

The rest of us who believe, but do not remember still have much to learn. It's the journey, not the destination that is important here.
 Quoting: lilmiss

I believe how long we spend, wherever we spend it, assessing our lessons/mistakes/achievements, depends on the specifics of our most recent incarnation.

I have to disagree with being the "told what we should have done" part of your post though, as I see being told what to do as a short-cut in learning; personal realisation remains with us more than being told what we should have done or how we should have done it by someone else.

But sure, we may need and get some outside help sometimes with the trickier aspects of spiritual growth.

I'd like to hear from females who think they may have incarnated in male, physical forms also.

Any thoughts? Hoping to learn something in this thread.

Interesting topic Celtic. I am female this life, but was male in my last.

I don't know if our choice is based so much on whether we want to be male or female in the next life, but more on which body is going to give us the opportunity to physically live out the circumstance we want to experience for our soul's growth.

I believe the soul is actually neither male or female, but MAY have a preference for the traits of one or the other. And these traits MAY have been accumulated through the many physical trips we make here.

But hey! Who knows right?

Nice post, thank you

Simply put, I love women in a much different way than I love men, though I do love men as my brothers, women bring out my capacity for loving far more than men do.

And again, I'll revert to the concept of Twin Flames; I believe my Twin Flame to be female

Lilmiss, this might answer your question too.

I'm not sure if I entirely understand the concept of "twin flames". I DO know that I have a soul I work with frequently and when we work together he is always male and I am always female. Is that what you mean?

Maybe I'll understand more about it from this thread :)

Old Yoruba saying:

What you don't learn in this life, you'll learn in the next.

I think it all about balance. There is a positive/negative in everything. Yin and Yang, Male and Female, if you will. I am sure souls, just like humans cans be either balanced in this respect or tilt one way or the other.

Maybe a soul that has become too feminine comes back as a male in order to regain balance........and vice versa.

Who knows? These are all mysterious things.

Re: Reincarnation and gender
Interesting topic, being a 28 year old man whos recently decided to let free my inner self and become a transsexual hopefully eventually to be a woman ive wondered recently weather if "this" time around im actually still feeling what I was in a former life or if its my own life thats feeling that way and its a feeling ive gathered from this life,

its all very interesting, another question to ask is weather if the spirit exists at all, because I think like a woman in heart and mind.. is my spirit actually female and I am genuinely in the wrong body or will my death and rebirth result in the correction of my mind that makes me think im a woman
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 775434

the spirit or essence is neither male or female. some are born in one gender with a stronger energies of the other gender. its all about experiencing polarities and balance.

we are all composed of both energies in one body to varying degrees.

I'am a male, 32 yr.
Yes I believe in reincarnation, and yes I strongly believe that I've had feminine experiences as well. I wouldn't have been the man that I am today, if I didn't had those experiences, think about that. Those experiences we all go through into different lives, are necessary to make us "better" persons.

That is down to your perspective, so your comment says more about you than any other comments or persons in the thread, imho.

Re: Reincarnation and gender
There is no reincarnation. All energy is one, and all time is now. We are all simultaneous expressions of the one, the all.

Those who feel they have reincarnated are simply resonating with certain frequencies...glimpses into lives that relate to what the body is experiencing in time.

Also, add DNA encoded memory into the mix.

Those who make Reincarnation an actual belief system are limiting their understanding and progress with Dogma.

Rise above it!

I see where you are coming from, but it really is semantics. Reincarnation is more of the symbolization of THe One Infinite's way of splitting Itself to All Being Power & Knowledge. If the terminology for splitting & reliving is reincarnation, So Be IT. Its a way for Itself {being Everything including Us} of understanding why we live over and over.It teaches Itself True balance. The One, is Infinite and absolutley Everything. It relearns through all and everything all the time. That is why there is such extreme balance in the Universe. The male/female protocol, I call it, is a good lesson on how to teach Itself polarity or balance while here on this plane or dimension. There are many stages and sub-stages of The Infinite One that it is always functioning. If people here need to start this learning process by understanding reincarnation that's ok, because it gets them to Truth as needed for their part in The Infinite Ones growth. We are where We Are because this is where We are needed. It truly is all about Balance peace

Re: Reincarnation and gender
Ive scanned ever so briefly but not really read anyone elses responses because to do so plays with your brain...like you have to be something you arent due to heckling or something.

I am a female. Was born one and will die one..very feminine and pretty I might add (in a Scully way). I have no gender distortion issue or wanting to be a man. I'm not a tomboy but not a girly girl either...Im not really sure what they mean anyway. I dont like sport or shopping.

I think I'm just normal BUT when I have been involved with men longterm...given the fantasy was a done deal...only really fantasied about women. If no men were in my life ....only women friends or boinks (FWB)...I only fantasied about men then.

I have had 3 children and its amazing to me...each birth was like...whoa....a science experiment in how to do this with having the parts but not understanding how this actually happened for me. Each time I have a period its like....sheesh...that happened again...gross!!?

I think I was a male in past lives...like in most of them. This female identity is interesting but its still a newbie experience. I prefer men...thats the hormone issue...I sort of liked having children and can do the raising thing well....I even have silly voices for bedtime stories off pat BUT womanly, lightly sexy and attractive as I may be....I do feel like Im acting the part.

I'm not butch, not gay....just I dont think I get women yet. Maybe I'll improve in the next lifetime.

I do think you people who judge...dont get that sexuality is a born with thing. IF reincarnation is given...it only makes sense that if born male before or female....our soul is not going to do the flicky switch so quickly. AND....in the next life if you are born the other sex....give yourself a break for goodness sake.

Re: Reincarnation and gender
male and female are just different manifestations of energy in the physical form. every human is composed of varying degrees of both energies in every incarnation with one form being more dominate than the other. therefore each of us will experience male and female roles in different incarnations.

Sometimes the physical form is one gender but the energy that dominates is the other gender, thus issues arise with gender confusion, homosexuality, sissy boys and butch girls.

We incarnate in every gender and every race in order to fully experience and express the essence of physical existence. Only incarnating as one gender would be like trying to learn to read while only knowing half the alphabet. there is nothing better than one or the other. both genders are beautiful powerful experiences.

enjoy the ride!

Re: Reincarnation and gender
Hey guys, have you ever heard of the master hypnotist Michael Newton who has spent years compiling information on past lives and life between lives? I have all his books, and I 100% believe that we have lived many lives and will live on and continue our quest of soul evolution.

When it comes to gender, Michael Newton has noticed that most souls lives many of their lives as one gender but then decide to switch, to balance the experiences. What happens is that if you've lived your past hundred lives lets say as a woman, your next life as a man will be uncomfortable and you will alienated and stuck in this different body.

Most souls wait before doing the switch, so often, the these souls are more experienced, more wise and mature. I say, accept yourself for who you are and for what you have been -- because, all these experiences made who you are today. The soul has incredible possibilities and by accepting that we are infinite beings, we can better live our lives and not fall into the cracks of despair and failure.

Watch this 5 part interview with Michael Newton, he's really changed my perspective on reincarnation and the soul! :)

Re: Reincarnation and gender
i'm of the opinion that reincarnation is real/not real. time is the problem for me here. seems to me that all lives are lived at the same time in the end. we just see each moment as discreet because we don't have the tools to see that they are all now. so we're not going away and coming back in that sense. all our lives and each moment of each life is happening now. male and female both at the same time. if this has any basis in reality then "remembering" parts of other lives would be an indicator of more tools for recognizing times truth.

i hope i've made some sense here. words are inadequate.

Re: Reincarnation and gender
I have my own thoughts on the subject, which I'll delve into later in this thread.

It seems it might be difficult for many men to consider that they had incarnated in feminine, physical forms in the past, which I understand to a degree.

I'd like to hear from females who think they may have incarnated in male, physical forms also.

Any thoughts? Hoping to learn something in this thread.

hf
 Quoting: Celtic (Pictavian)

I was a male last lifetime. It's interesting because the memory of it has helped me understand men better. They are so different sexually and now I'm less inclined to try to make a man be monogamous. I don't think most of them are hardwired for it.

I don't identify with being either male or female deep down. And because of that I have less resistance now to being female. It was an adjustment first and i was an awkward little girl, but sometime in my 20's I really started to feel like I gained access to deep female power.

People who identify with the body too much tend to be the ones who have the "gender bender issues". Once i became more spiritually inclined I let go of that residue of wanting to be male. If you free your ego you won't care what sex you are you'll just want to balance out. You might have to be gay for a while, but sometimes I think gay people are just missing out on what life was offering them.
