Over the past month, Wachovia has been bouncing me with money still in my account. They're also charging me for international transactions all of a sudden, when they never did before; granted it's insignificant, but still annoying.

Im sorry to hear this FoJ, however i can sympathize with you as chase did the same to me. I ended that relationship REAL fast!

$140 worth of fee's which I still cannot figure how they came up with that. I am going to the bank tomorrow to close my account out for good!

Sadly I have seen this "story" repeated and repeated extensivley on all sorts of blogs I belong to least of which not GLP.

You are a dick.You can spell yet you wake up every morning and use tooth paste with potent Rat killer chemicals because you at sometime in your deluded life some one told you it prevented cavities,when in reality it causes them.

I'm in the same boat with US Bank. Rotten douchebags!!! I'm opening an account with a local federal credit union instead.

I'm sorry to hear of the theft FoJ. After being a customer of WF for over 13 years, and them doing that to me more than once, the last time was the final straw. They paid the biggest check first (house payment) that was NOT suppose to post for another 4 days (scheduled online) for when hubby got paid, and another 5 checks (which we had the funds to cover) came in. The mortgage servicer entered payment when they were suppose to wait 4 days...so don't ever schedule a payment with them over the phone, do it online if need be, but NOT over the phone with a rep! After all checks were accounted for, we were overdrawn by something like $148 and some odd cents. 4 of the checks were NSF, so they charged $39 for each of them, but paid the checks. Well, I was pissed, and called. It was over 8 weeks before we could afford to even meet with WF to come to an agreement, for which each week they charged another $33 for overdrawn account, plus a daily % amount...to the tune of over $800 in the end. We agreed to pay $600 on it, and I immediately closed my account and told them to go to hell, I would NEVER bank with them again!

Yeah, especially considering we live paycheck to paycheck, and with me not able to work, it's really really hard, every penny counts. Heck, that $600 would have filled our LP tank or paid our mortgage payment. We had to borrow to be able to pay it, as they were getting ready to send it to the attorney's for collection. I think they've collected more than enough from US taxpayers!

This happened over 1 year ago, but I still get VERY fumed about it. 13 years given as their customer, and this is how they'll reward you. They tell you the money that you're overdrawn is then considered an interest-owing loan, so they charge 8% daily??? I mean seriously! That's totally screwed up!

Stop using banks, and you people won't have these problems anymore.

Why would you want a thief to handle your money??
