Here's one thing you can do: Buy sea salt, usually availble now in supermarkets. Take a bowl of warm water -comfortably warm and put a teaspoonful of sea salt in the water. It may seem uncomfortable or odd at first but snuff the warm salty water up your nose. Gently. Stop whenever it seems too much. Wash the face off. Relax. It does help and if you do it a couple times a day will help.

Crystal brand pure Lousiana Hot Sauce, pure cayenne no chili added. You have some water or coca cola handy to sip. Take a spoonful sip it gently, see if you can get used to it. If possible let it trickle down your throat. The cayenne kills germs, parasites, viruses and possibly even cancer cells, on contact. Things like spicy soup (not the thai peppers it can choke you badly especially if you are sick) the spicy like sweet and sour soup no chilid in it. Salsa is Ok. A sponful of Louisian a hot sauce couple times a day tends to get rid of the mucus built up. The doctors do have a way to totally drain the sinuses and give you antibiotics so your doc should help you with this situation. some docs are not so good because they undermedicate people. When there is a bad infection set in it doesn't help to let it go so much...

You might want to try a combination fo standard medical care which would include a drug like keflex - and draining professionallly - by a doctor who knows what he is doing. Also add to that the hot sauce etc.
