Questions about Ley Lines
Can anybody point me in the direction of reliable resources &/or research material, so I can educate myself about ley lines please?

For instance, are there any ley line "maps" anywhere that anyone knows of?

Thanks,

Celt

What about ley lines in the United States? I've seen maps of a few specific areas, but not much overall.

Yep, anywhere at all would be good, even if I have to correlate different maps or piece them together bit by bit [if possible]

I think it's interesting how little information there is about this on the information superhighway when you compare it to most other subjects

Your right. I have heard alot of talk about them, but nothing in real depth.
Always wanted to find a map(s) of specific Ley lines and there significance.

Good thread. And I hope somebody can point us in the right direction.

Thank you, 807307 and lil*miss

This is probably one of those topics where I'd be slightly sceptical of any information provided on wikipedia though.. not being ungrateful, 807307, thanks for taking the time to post.

I'm not aware of any published maps, but of course the ley-hunter is encouraged to get their own map of the area in question and find your own lines.

Fascinating subject though.

Re: Questions about Ley Lines
Ley lines have to be mapped out. That takes cartographers, time, and money. You won't find a whole lot of existing maps of modern cities, given the need to actually map the place now, and the constant process of new construction.

I imagine you're aware of the Seattle, WA map, though?

Which kind of 'ley lines'? The Alfred Watkins type, or the 'Earth energy' type?

The ones that converge at say, sites of standing stones/circles, or cathedrals etc.

I know in some cases that cathedrals are built on or near ley lines, and in some instances, there are waterways nearby also.

Water is an excellent energy carrier & "storage device" apparently, even better than stone.

Thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated.

Thanks for that; seeing how many lines there are on that map makes me realize maybe there are far more ley lines than I'd originally imagined.

Something else I've pondered; if magnetic poles move over the course of time, it's possible maybe ley lines shift also?

Yes. Depending on the speed of variation, it might not be worthwhile to develop intricate maps for a while.

Let me restate that--I sounded to confident.

Interesting. If so, and depending on the speed of variation, it might not be worthwhile to develop intricate maps for a while.

Just curious for my own ponderings :)

Why would ley lines have to be in connection with the magnetic poles?

Yep, that sounds like a very good point

It seems taking "snapshots" of ley line positions though, might be very worthwhile, in understanding any shifts and possibly even predicting future movements.

Thanks for the link up there, Full Circle, and thanks everyone else for input.

I wasn't really saying they have to be my friend, just guessing really, with the limited knowledge I have.

I've formed the view [possibly wrongly], that ley lines are conduits of electromagnetic [and possibly other types of] energies; just as I'm *quite sure that "genuine" crop circles [assuming genuine crop circles exist] are representations of spiral energy.

Do you have your own theory on this, FC? :)

Nope. No solid theories. Just working on things like you. But I agree that there's some kind of energy involved in the grid pattern. And I really believe it originates with the Great Pyramid. lol...I thought for a while that the pyramid was some kind of conduit that is measuring the consciousness of man. And then sending that info wherever. lol

Gotta have and use imagination when trying to put this stuff together!

But then, there would have to be some kind of connection with the magnetics of the poles because all is inter-related somehow.

Good thread Celtic! You got me thinking again about a few things.

'Earth radiation is a theoretical geophysical phenomenon described primarily by the German authors Manfred Curry and Ernst Hartmann.

They both describe a mystic force field (similar to Odic force, Mana, Qi) that covers the earth at regular intervals and can be detected by dowsing using a divining rod. It is not supposed to be detectable by common scientific instruments but some still connect it to telluric currents, which are actual phenomena, detectable by scientific instruments.
'

Mad.. crossed my mind earlier whether ley lines could be detected using a divining tool of some sort
