I went to a building for 13 years where I sat in a desk with a whole bunch of other kids! We had to sit in straight lines and in Alphabetical order! We had to keep our hands to ourselves and we had to ask for permission to speak and even go to the restroom. Boy! We sure knew how to follow orders. A lady was there telling us what to do every single day. We learned that what she said was final and we learned that she was always right and never lied! The lady at the front of the room went to a building WAY longer than I did where she learned how and what to tell me was true! She gave all of us big books from people that none of us had ever met or knew anything about. We didn't know if they believed in God, or if they worshipped a devil, or even if they were from the same country as us. But the lady must have knew them, because she told us that it was all true and that we coudn't speak without raising our hands. In these big books, were really bright pictures with lots of interresting things in them and big words that spoke in absolutes. Children need absolutes so that they won't ask endless questions you know! The big books said that the earth was REALLY REALLY OLD and the sun was the center of our solar system. It said that animals changed over time starting with very simple things like tiny plants in water and became more and more advanced as time passed. This proved to me that everything used to be bad and now was good and only getting better!

This is what we did every single day for 13 years. I met lots of people during those times and we all learned the same thing, so we never felt like we weren't part of the group. During this time I starting trying to figure out what type of person I wanted to be. My head was full of absolutes and numbers that didn't mean anything to what I wanted to be, but the lady at the front of the room always told me every detail was important.

And as soon as I graduated, I knew how to tell the difference between what was true and untrue and it was really easy! All I had to do was see if it was a person older than me and who had been to a building for a long time! If they had, then I knew they weren't lieing!

SCHOOL WAS EASY AND MADE ME SMART! I AM SO SMART TO TRUST THE EXPERTS BECAUSE IT KEEPS ME FROM HAVING TO THINK FOR MYSELF! I CAN ALWAYS LET SOMEONE ELSE DO THE THINKING AND THEN ARGUE OVER RATHER THEY ARE RIGHT OR WRONG AND NEVER KNOW ANY TRUTH ON MY OWN!

Couldn't a large comet or even Venus (off it's orbit) lighten the Earth up and appear to be the sun during the night?

I don't often read the OP's threads, but this one caught my attention! If you believe the story of creation and what else is written in the Bible, then it's plain that the sun revolves around the Earth and not the other way around.

Well, Eliyahu, this one I find hard to swallow, but it is a small trifle and not one that determines salvation.

I find the model of the stationary sun just as marvelous a creation from His hands as any.

Evolution is based on the lie of an expanding universe. We have a young Earth.

The Earth was the focus of God's attention from the beginning. The sun is not named in God's Creation in Genesis 1, but mere as "the greater light". The Sun is not the focal point as scientists and Catholics like to say.

Joshua caused the sun to stand still, which clearly says the sun is moving, and likewise as we see in the creation of a single day, the sun casting its shadow in the early evening, with the evening and the morning of which a day consists, and as such it is the Earth which stands still while the sun does the revolving.

As we have seen, God makes His sun (Son) to rise and this pattern is repeated daily as a reminder of this fact.

Either way, it's an interesting theory of the sun revolving around the Earth, and it's nice to think of things a little differently for a change.

Once again, it is not a matter concerning salvation, so it is a minor issue.

When Punisher was on one of his many incarnations here going on about the Book of Enoch and its description of the cosmos I told him that perhaps the cosmos does appear just as Enoch described (yes, I have read that fascinating book) in the heavenly dimension, but it manifests in this dimension as the model of stationary sun/revolving planets.

Different dimensions, different set of physic laws.

The sun isn't even stationary, but revolves about in the galaxy. That all this could be created in a short time by God isn't unfeasible by any means--I am not a believer in the theory of evolution.

If the model of the cosmos is not how we have come to discover it, why do orreries work to precision?

Nonsense, it no more says that than I proclaim to be a geocentrist when I state I watched the sun rise today and I'll watch it set this evening. Of course the sun did not literally rise, but I talk about it like that because it's how we usually see it and talk about it. Meanwhile, the only thing required to disprove classical geocentrism where every planet orbits the earth, is to observe Venus in a gibbous phase. This geometry is impossible to classical geocentrism and required a massive re-write of the theory.

What is that seen when allowed by the Heavenly Father of a multitude of heavenly hosts and a kingdom existing in the same space as the earth?

What will happen when the hidden things "merge" into the visible?

There is an appointed time. And the Dragon knows it has a short time left to deceive.

The definition of a planet is that it is a moving celestial object which is in a state of revolving, therefore the immovable (geocentric) Earth which God has told us in scripture hangs in space, Job 26:7, is therefore not a planet as we have been wrongly told. Many scientific "facts" are not so.

Men are full of knowledge but fail to examine the scriptures to find out the real truth. We see the sun rises and descends each day, and we do have the holy scriptures which relate to this fact many times throughout the Old Testament. Surely this is proof enough.
