I was catholic as a child, and I believe the purpose of the god parent was to ensure that the child would be brought up in the faith. Not sure how that really applies today, but, as with any child you have aspecial relationship with, being a good role model in todays society is vital. |

I agree faith...but who's mine or his parents....mine are the ten comandments...they don't practice nothing... Well, I'm a Christian. I live that life out as best as I can. I don't just talk it, I walk it. That's the important part. Let the child see you live your beliefs. be supportive. Be playful. Be dependable. Be available, and you will have made a positive impact on another human being. Most human beings want to treat others well, regardless of faith. |
