An Iberworld Airbus A330-300 on behalf of Air Comet, registration EC-IJH performing flight A7-301 from Madrid Barajas,SP (Spain) to Santa Cruz (Bolivia) with about 170 passengers, did not land in Santa Cruz in Bolivia, but in Santa Cruz,CI (Spain), also known as Tenerife Norte or Tenerife Los Rodeos Airport.

The airplane departed Tenerife again after about 17 hours on the ground.

Passengers reported, that the crew did not provide any explanation for the diversion leading them to suspect, that the crew had confused Santa Cruz in Bolivia with Santa Cruz on the Canary Islands.

A few days later Brazil refused overflight permission to another Air Comet flight, see Incident: Air Comet A332 over Atlantic on Nov 6th 2009, bureaucratic problems. The flight route from Spain to Bolivia requires to fly through Brazilian Air Space unless a very long detour is being accepted.

Definately something "Interesting" happening here.

There is NO WAY Pilots could "confuse" these 2 destinations.

There was a Sorta Fail thread pinned last night that discussed this flight and said it was due to CERN creating a time wave, almost like teleporting. I'm sure its BS, but this is kind of weird. Was the crew just stoned???

I'm sure as they were programming their Flight Management System (FMS) they went to the Menu and there are the cities listed. They must have mistakenly put in a Santa Cruz without confirming the correct one. Each one has a distinct three letter or number identifier so you have to doublecheck (have the other pilot confirm) that you have put the correct city in the FMS.

That is why there are two pilots, to check and confirm ALL checklists.

I don't know - there's some 20 million scheduled commercial flights a year in the world - stuff like this is bound to happen from time to time.

It Was The LHC Atom Smasher!!!!!!!!

[link to www.aeonia.com]
An interesting report circulating in the Kremlin today is claiming that the massive power blackout that hit South America this past week was due to a ‘Time Wave’ that emanated from the mysterious Bolivian Andes region called Tiahuanaco where the mysterious 10 ton “Gateway of the Sun” monolithic (carved from a single block of Andesite granite) [photo top left] is located and was ‘triggered’ by an ‘anomalous event’ at the World's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator, Large Hadron Collider (LHC) [photo 2nd left], in Switzerland run by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and ‘rippled through’ the thousands of ancient pyramid complexes located throughout Brazil and other countries of South America.

[Note: Time Waves as refereed to in these reports are more commonly known in the Western World as gravitational waves which are fluctuations in the curvature of spacetime.]

According to these reports, the CERN scientists at the Large Hadron Collider began a series of experiments on November 1st (2009) in preparation for the restarting of operations when they “shockingly” discovered that their testing was distorting our Earth’s magnetic field and had “shot off” a “Time Wave” towards the core of our Planet that their tracking showed “veered exactly” towards the ‘Sun Gate’ high in the Bolivian Andes Mountains.

Most unfortunately, however, was when the initial ‘Time Wave’ spawned by the LHC ‘erupted’ from the ‘Sun Gate’ and headed out towards the space above South America it (literally) ‘glanced into’ the path of an Iberworld Airbus A330-300 flown by Air Comet which was ready to begin its descent into Santa Cruz, Bolivia but then found itself ‘instantly and mysteriously’ over the skies of Santa Cruz, Spain over 5,500 miles (8,900 km) away. [Note: All 170 passengers and the crew of flight A7-301were safe and after 17 hours on the ground in Spain departed back to Bolivia where they arrived safe and sound.]

This thread should be pinned. Or others related to the LHC. I think we are going to see some "interesting" things over the next few months related to what they are doing there.

Easy to confirm. Calculate the amount of fuel loaded and the predicted amount of fuel to arrive at Santa Cruz in Bolivia vs the predicted amount of fuel to actually fly to Tenerife Los Rodeos Airport.

Point and shoot...a slide rule flight calculator cant lie to you if you input the actual data.

Time warp claims? I am not saying its impossible, I just think that it is very simple to prove in this instance.
