You don't have to get any facts wrong to be fear mongering. It's all in how you present them. Look at your title, "Some things to look foward to when Khalid Sheikh Mohammed goes on trial in NYC" Not, "Some things to be cautious about" or "some things we need to be aware of to make sure it doesn't happen..." You assume bad things will happen.

And on top of that it's stupid. Do you really think all the bad guys are waiting around for KSM to smuggle word out to do something? That's like saying fat people are just waiting for Oprah's permission to eat something. The reason there've been no attacks isn't because KSM hasn't smuggled out instructions. Or maybe you think they've been waiting all this
time for his trial? That was awfully prescient of them since no one knew he would even be going on trial until recently.

Maybe the trial will be an irresistible temptation? Excellent! It's an opportunity to catch more of them. But you'd never think to see it that way, being so scared and all.

So yes, fear mongering is what you're doing, and fear mongering is what I call it.
