Just a week or two ago there were articles posted here talking about how Gore would be a billionaire over AlGorbal Warming investments.

So, what about pollution and Energy Shortages? Doesn't green technology help with those, or does it make things worse?

Too many people have got too much to lose if this blows up in thier faces - they are never going to admit, how easily they were all fooled!

When they come out and say that there is an E-Coli breakout in lettuce from Mexico, how hard is it to sell lettuce from CA?

Anything Green will be deemed to be guilty of being a hoax. Its a knee jerk reaction that many of the 'good' green indistries will be lucky to survive.

Kinda like all the 'old' money families who lost tens of millions investing with madoff and too embarrassed to admit they were conned. So they made very discrete exits.

Same with the markets. They will sell off everything they have in Green investments and never admit it was because they were hoaxed. They will say they had to get out because of the sell off.

No one will admit the hoax as they lick their wounds.

PAC, if the Cap and Trade aka Carbon Tax gets through the Senate, then it matters not at all, because then the entire world economy will be dead along with at least hundreds of millions of people.

Just think about it rationally.

What can we human beings really do to the climate even if we wished to make it warmer? Burn more coal/emit more CO2?

Bullshit, we wouldn't be able to do much even if we all tried hard, all 7 billion of us, of which only about 1bn would "emit" a few tons per year. The atmosphere cleans itself very well, CO2 is what we breathe out, isn't toxic.

What's the big deal then? Maybe someone wanted to trade CO2, then trade O2, to make money out of thin air, as usual.

This green thing is better on a smaller scale.Most businesses or ideas start small with an idea and build up.Take the electricity from osmosis in Norway.You cannot expect anything to succeed if you mindlessly pour money into it.Neccesity is the mother of invention. Though many ideas fail for lack of investment.Going green is about recycling ,saving money on waste ful packaging .Insulating houses in cold countries.Getting away from oil and nuclear power to other ways of producing energy.Cutting down on transportation.I have tried to do this at home and have used some money left me by an Auntie to put in ground source heating.The machine was made locally and the men that drilled down were local and so were the installers.The house is warmer than before as we put a lot of insulation in the roof.I wish we had heating for villages where waste was burned to warm houses.also could we generate electricity from streams etc.I thing going green is giong back to the future in asence of stepping back to a smaller scale engaging the young in creating ways that are better for the earth.Take solar panels or pizo electric why doesn't everyone get some on their roofs ? Because they are too expensive.Did you know in Germany the government pays for half.If we were encoraged to do this then ,even if we only supplied some electricity it would help.40% of the energy is domestic if everyone supplied some we would require less from large power stations.That is what going green is about.

That's good thinking, but there's no real profit in that.
