I used to think that too...His point is that more people would hold their congressman and senators to account about the purpose of the war and demand an end of they were being taxed for it...

its not meant to support the war, its meant to drive the meaning home to you and I to get active and make sure we dont go into needless wars and bring the ones that we are in to an end.

If I was being taxed, I would be furious and be sitting in front of my congressmans house night a day till something was done about it
