Medical field will always do well

dependent on insurance which less people have every day .
dependent on oil based products , oil gets more expensive every day .

the good medical jobs will be 3 hots and a cot ,inside a gated community . with exciting add on tasks like mucking stalls , weeding by hand and spreading the humanure whenever their medical skills aren't needed.

Yes

I've gotten 2 from my university career website this year, and another I got by dropping a resumee at a tutoring center (response 3 weeks later).

I've had to turn down Publix and several interview requests also.

If you are bilingual you stand a much better chance at getting a job. Just my own observation, but here you better speak spanish and english if you want to work in any type of retail.

Sorry Winningjob, I like you a lot, but that requirement is total B.S. Why? This is America, not Mexico.

Re: asking a question. "can anyone get a job?"
Here in London I feel so depressed I feel like jumping off a high rise & simply ending it at all, never felt so alone, skint & isolated in my life..

I'm looking for work everyday, which is an expensive to do without money for stationary, computer access, stamps, travel money, food.. just to keep you from feeling sick from hunger, & of course money for decent 'interview' clothing.
I'm multi-skilled, but none of the certs & courses account to nothing in the past, they're out of date!, doesn't cover health & safety regulations. I get no feedback or interviews anyway, not a chance in a million years of ever get trained up for anything.. even tho' I know I'd be really good at it.

I'm just sorting out lose ends/affairs.. so that I leave a clean slate.. destroy any skeletons I have by xmas.. then I'm off to find out if there is life after death.

Without a job, there's nothing to live or die for.. so I've decided to opt for a quick violent death by new years eve.. unless I can get a job by then. I feel simply, destroyed..! I live a dozen floors up, so I'd dead in about 2 seconds..!!

Re: asking a question. "can anyone get a job?"
Most of my nursing class that graduated in Dec 08 in CA still do not have anything full-time or even part-time for that matter. I was lucky enough to have family out of state where I stayed for a week and found a job quickly. My husband met up with me two months later. He found a temp to hire job after two weeks. It doesn't pay much but the bills get paid.

Yep. I understand. My husband's been out of work for similar reasons, but he's taken a job stocking shelves at a department store. It's not pleasant, but it CAN be done.

I guess it's all about choices. If you don't choose to take just ANY job, okay - but there are jobs to be had out there even for the "overqualified". My husband is a degreed professional with over 12 years of experience in his field.

"Can anyone get a job"

Technically no. Not in the US...there are laws against child labor and such.

But other than that, pretty much anyone has a shot at employment. There are companies that will hire ANYONE to do crappy work. What the country lacks is "minions" willing to do that crappy work.

The person that was laid off a job that paid 100K is NOT going to take a job washing cars or pushing fries...but that same person COULD if they CHOSE to.

People wonder why and complain when companies employ illegal aliens yet those same people sit at home on unemployment and whine that there are no jobs and complain that the government is not doing anything about it.

God Bless the USA

what i have noticed is that, as unemployment goes up, there is a certain segment of the populace (probably most) who believe anyone can still get a job no matter what. no matter how many jobs the usa has lost over the past year, according to these people, there's no reason why anyone who really wants a job can't have one. that is simply bullshit.

There is one thing I learned years ago, and that it's easier to find a job if you already have one. So for those of you unwilling to find a job because it's below your standards, get a job, any job. It doesn't matter what it is, there are jobs out there. Quit living so high on the hog!

Took me until a few weeks ago to get a job, and its a job i settled for. I have a few other interviews for jobs in management, but those are also not what I wanted. I'll take what I can get for meow

Lets see 120 feet at 32'/sec..

Second #1 32'
Second #2 64' or 96' total

So, if you only have 2 seconds you'll stop 24 feet up.

Until they become unemployed, they will never understand. They think they do. America is nothing if not the land of self-righteousness. In the end though, when they finally lose their job (and they will; we all will), all of that holier-than-thou attitude will be gone, and they will know what it's like to suffer at the bottom. I doubt any of them will survive.

Re: asking a question. "can anyone get a job?"
Anyone CAN get a job if they do the work it takes to get one. Real, no bullshit...

There are some people that are just not employable because they give a bad impression...probably unbeknownst to them....those are usually the ones that can't see why they aren't getting the job, even with a stellar resume.

And who the hell would trust statistics? Polls, statistics, ratings??...you have to research WHO conducted those so called statistics and find out WHO funded them. It is interesting to see how the company that funds the research is one that is typically affected by the results.

How do you think drug companies get brand new "vaccines" approved, marketed, and distributed to millions before it's even tested for safety. We can make the data say anything we want it to.

Re: asking a question. "can anyone get a job?"
I had a life change experience in April 2008 just months before the "manipulated economic crisis", truck accident, broke my back in three places, two fractured ribs and was hospitalized for a week. My back recovery took over 10 months even though it still bothers me. No surgery thank the Lord!
I was a mason laying brick, rock and cast-stone. The job I had before my accident was paying $20 an hour working 60 hrs a week the money was great especially getting overtime. But now those masonry days are long gone, was in the profession for 8 years.
With the economy going downhill and having to find another profession that will pay above minimum wage my options are few and far between.
Seriously you can't make a living on minimum wage, it needs to be at least $15 hr. If our govt. really gave a damn about "We the people" they would have raised the minimum wage to even out the cost of living.
I have looked for jobs, filled out apps and still unemployed.
What next? I don't really know but if the cap and trade and Obama's universal death care goes into affect how do they honestly think getting their $$$$ from us?
Their One World govt. will be a failure and will definitely backfire on TPTB.
Our nation is climbing to 20% that are unemployed, Obama said today they have created 1.7 millions jobs, really Obama?
Purple lying lips do you think your supposedly 1.7 million jobs has boosted the economy?

Over 100 resumes sent out no job and I am not being picky.

It's worse than 17.5% unemployment because the average household has approx 3.5 people so now that number must be multiplied by 3.5 to know how many people have no money coming in to support them.

I wonder every single day how the average person is making ends meet!
