Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 834174 United States 12/07/2009 05:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It should be okay. Kerosene is pretty thin, so it will cut the lubricating properties of the diesel some. Fill the tank the rest of the way with diesel. Quoting: Evil TwinThat's what I'm doing.....trying to dilute that kero.....man, what a dumbass I was....and I had paid $5 a gallon for that kero!! |

Just to make yourself feel better, add a sulpher replacement additive. Adversity is inevitable, misery is optional. Do or do not. There is no try. Anonymous Coward User ID: 762382 United States 12/07/2009 06:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I was a kid I ran out of gas in a Corvair (air cooled engine like a VW). I went home and grabbed a 5 gallon can of kerosene that I thought had gas in it. I put it in the car and turned the starter. With much fan fair, sputtering, coughing and smoking it started up. I made it home, but it smoked like hell, overheated and was underpowered. After that I learned to check what was really in cans. Ah the lessons of youth. |

I was emptying some cans into my diesel pick-up....I now have 10 gallons of diesel and 5 gallons of kerosene in the tank... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 834174Can I drive it?????? Hubby says you should be fine. Its a little thinner & will run in the winter time. Buy a bottle of diesel treatment at the truck stop if you are really worried about it. (hubby used to drive semi) vaccinefreehealth blogspot com The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child. facebook.com/graphixyourway |
