Should we clone our founding fathers ?
Should we clone our founding fathers ?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

And place them in the custody of their living relatives, give them different but family names, and don't let them know who they truly are for 35 years.

Let's collaborate on a screenplay, I welcome the help.

Re: Should we clone our founding fathers ?
So they'd have as much of a body as an identical twin would have, and as much of a brain as their identical twin would have, but their souls and minds would be their own.

You've been watching too much SciFi..or is it SyFy.. having younger brothers that are identical twins I know they are two totally different people, two different souls, two different minds.. identical twin is what a human clone would be, and not a complete carbon copy.

The way this country is today, they'd all probably have a heart attack or a brain aneurysm.

They would be "identical" in every way, and upon knowing of thier situation and annestry, the plot builds around how they will react to the evident evils that exist in our government today, as warned by the founding fathers; 2 party system/corruption/Big Government/encroachment on individual freedom.

How will the hero react ?

And when the masses turn to him for guidance, he becomes a 'shoe-in' for a presidential election, even with the "media" in full attack mode.

Will he make good on the core beliefs that he represents ? (being a clone of Thomas Jefferson, or George Washington)

Or fall to the pressure of the dominant Oligarchy, and become a narcissistic elitist himse;f, or a sellout.

He struggles with this internal and external conflict, and approaching the denouement of the film he finds himself at a supreme difficult decision to make while armageddon approaches.

I guarantee it will be better than "inglorious bastages".

Almost impossible to rule him out. His wife died because of what they collectively suffered by 'the oligarchy to be un-named, for fear of reprisal and name calling'

Why would you think the relatives would want them? I have a few interesting names in my family tree, but let me tell you -- not interested!

Assuming you have access to the genetic material, hardly a trivial task, no one knows how to clone humans. So yeah, you laid a wet, steaming turd.

Sure, and why not extrapolate Ghengis Khan, oh and Napolean? And take a crack at Lenin while you are at it..

Or stop looking backwards, and try to look FORWARDS.

Re: Should we clone our founding fathers ?
It wouldn't do any good, because with cloning you could reproduce the BODY, but the MIND would be totally different. The mind is developed or self-programmed as a result of life experiences.

Thomas Jeffereson cloned might turn out to be a crack addicted wigger, and Ben Franklin could be a dedicated leftist.

Wouldn't work!

Seeing a movie about a crack addicted wigger clone of Thomas Jefferson would be awesome.
