It's a guess.... Beyond that, anything with sugar and cinnamon is great, even if baked to a hard crisp. Just change the name of the finished product to "cinnamon crisps". good luck! I'm making homemade cinnamon rolls and realized after I let the dough rise that I forgot to add 2 eggs. Can I knead them in now or should I proceed without and hope for the best? Quoting: PoofI know this isn't a baking forum, but I also know there are some seriously good cooks on here. |

Poof (OP) User ID: 811219 United States 12/14/2009 08:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok, they are done. They turned out fabulous! I really thought I had screwed up when I put the eggs in, because the dough was slimy and sticky and the eggs just didn't seem to be incorporating into the dough. I was commited to making it work though, so I threw in more flour and voila! It started coming together. They might have turned out "alright" without adding the eggs, and it would have been less work, but since these turned out to be the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had (seriously!) it was totally worth the extra time and effort to add them in. So, remember if you find yourself in my predicament add more flour with the eggs and it should turn out fine! |

I'll let ya'll know what happens. Quoting: PoofThanks :) you followed the wrong advice, you will make your dough hard, it will not rise again, surprised if it does and more flour will ruin the taste and take you to a cardboard like bread dough. let us know, though. maybe learn something new. |
