So you say there's a rapture Elijah?

The "good" people will be whisked away?

what happens to the ones who remain brother?

The Christians who remain represent the 5 unwise virgins, Matthew 25:1-12. They will be tested for their faith regarding their decision whether or not to accept the mark of the beast.

.

Observe
2 Peter 3
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up

So when he arrives like a "thief in the night" it states that the heavens shall pass away and the earth also and its works shall be burned up...

How can the lukewarm survive that cataclysmic event?

So you're saying after the earth is burned up...we will have a chance to repent?

Elijah is preaching about the thief in the night coming in immediate future, while 2 Peter 3:10 refers to the time after the Millennium.

Fair enough...

So let me get this straight...you and I know both know that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven..so people who are "raptured" up most receive a heavenly body therefore they must be resurrected...

so according to your thinking the first resurrection takes place during the rapture..

observe

Revelation 20
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

now we read the above to state that the people BEHEADED for not taking the mark of the beast were in the FIRST RESURRECTION

what resurrection do you speak of? Because I did not see anything about a pre resurrection ...

do you see that Revelation 20:4 lends credence to 2nd Peter 3?

Also the book of Job
14
12So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
