I think my reaction "How could this happen" is also important. If we see any kind of chaos in our economy or standard of living people here are going to wonder how this could have happened to "the greatest nation on Earth"!!!

Well America is about to find that it isn't the greatest nation on Earth. So now think about the reasons why Americans have been indoctrinated to believe that it is. Then track it back to the root causes of what created it in the first place. The oppressed became the oppresssers and now it is time to break the cycle and wake up. Humility will be good for America and then maybe they will stop chasing dreams like a carrot and seek within for happiness. Then essentials come to be and real compassion and love.

Do the English say that England is the greatest nation on earth? Of course not. We accept and understand the weaknesses and the strengths of this tiny nation. We also understand the opportunities and the threats.

Its a good time for the USA to do a SWOT analysis on itself. We offered the opportunity for individuals to do this on live chat. However, nobody was interested in looking at themselves to help their own nation make a breakthrough.

When I was growing up in Europe the nations most disliked were the Germans, French and Americans. That was way before 9/11 and the wars in the middle east. Germans and Americans were known for wishing to be bigger and better than everyone else and they made it known when you met them. The sensitive, reserved Brits of repose found the Germans and Americans brash and overpowering.

This morning I had a vision. I saw a big, beautiful US Flag. When I say “beautiful” I mean it appeared as the flag should in terms of all of its colors, design, and proportions. The colors were very vivid. The white was clean and bright while the red was also very bright, a striking fire-engine red. The flag was extremely impressive and large. Estimating…. I’d say about 10 feet wide and 20 feet long. What I found odd was that it was also very heavy…. Like a bed spread. The material was thick, not like a quilt but rather a heavy blanket. All in all, however, the flag struck me as impressive, clean, bright, large, and beautiful.
The flag was flying on this rather short flagpole. If the flag was 10 feet wide then the flagpole was only about 18 feet long. The flagpole was planted in the ground and tilting. The color of the flagpole was an unsightly army green. Then, the flagpole began to bend and suddenly snapped with this beautiful but heavy flag falling to the ground. The flagpole was like a hollow bamboo pole that simply snapped under the weight of the flag. As the pole snapped and the flag tumbled to the ground I felt concerned like, “How could this happen?”

My vision will come to pass although I know I do not comprehend its full meaning…

Anyone care to offer an interpretation?
