Back spasms
3 days ago my back started to spasm. Low back. I hate drugs but today I want some! I've been smoking a bit stoner and that helped it relax but i need something stronger.

Also what else can i do for those muscle spasms?

I'm 180lbs, average guy who is not tall. I know i have a little gut but why would I have these spasms? 1dunno1 deadhorse s226

Re: Back spasms
Put some heat on your back this will help the muscles to relax and help blood to flow properly.

Re: Back spasms
Lay on your back on a carpeted floor. Legs together. Arms at your sides.
Bend your knees, slide your feet on the floor until you can touch your heels with your fingers.
Notice that you can slide your hand between your lower back and the floor.
Using your stomach muscles, push your lower back flat against he floor so you can't fit your hand under your back. Hold for a count of five or ten. Repeat as comfortable. While you are doing this and getting better look at more back exercises. Like laying on your back and pulling your knees up tight against your chest and stuff.

Re: Back spasms
The only thing that helped my back spasms recently was a muscle relaxer prescribed by my doctor. If you want the spasms to stop, use a muscle relaxer. There are different muscle relaxers. Some work, some won't. Let your doctor decide based on your spasms and medical history.

Re: Back spasms
You have Calcium building in your muscles , Magnesium is needed too dissolve these crystals and your body "will" alkalize wither you like it or not.

in combination with a calcium deficiency (the body will leach calcium from the bones and deposit it into the joints and soft tissue, causing discomfort, pain, spasms).
increase C and D to facilitate absorption/ utilization.

Re: Back spasms
It's possible you have a virus that has settled into your back. I had this happen to me a few years back.

Take some natural anti-virals ... Lomatium, collodial silver, elderberry or some such thing.

Praying for a speedy recovery for you, OP. hf

Re: Back spasms
Find pain management dr that injects lidocaine injections.
They are called trigger point injections.
It’s instant relief. They shoot it right in knotted muscles. They cause spasms at different body areas.
Worth it.
Watch it if your sensitive to steroids. Mine uses lidocaine 1% only.
