Playmate's body found burned in rubbish bin

The body of a 26-year-old model has been found "burned beyond recognition" in a rubbish bin in Florida, US authorities say.

The charred corpse was found on Sunday night dumped inside a rubbish bin in North Miami.

Officials used dental records to identify the body as Paula Sladewski, a Los Angeles-based model and stripper who was visiting the area with her boyfriend Kevin Klym.

Klym, who reported Sladewski missing on Monday, said he became separated from her early Sunday morning after a fight at a bar.

According to a report Klym filed with police, he left bar alone at about 7am early Sunday after he became "too drunk" and was thrown out by security.

"[He claims he] took a taxi to his hotel and has had no contact with his girlfriend since,'' North Miami police reportedly said.

Klym has been named as a person of interest in the case, according to KTLA.com.

Sladewski, who appeared in a 2003 video entitled Playboy: The Ultimate Playmate Search, was pursuing a career as a model.
