To create a photo realistic cg model of a human is MUCH more difficult and has yet to get past the "uncanny" look.

Once they get the vitual people down pat then we may as well forsake video as any sort of proof or evidence of anything. Come to think if it, it has been hard to trust even photos since the days of the JFK assassination, unless you were an expert. I did see a commercial, can't remember which one, that did look perfectly 'real' with the people until I tilted my head and then its fakeness came out which I though was a very interesting phenomonea. Of course as with any technology its a two edged sword.
